    本研究では、日常への関心の高まりという中国文学史上の問題を、唐代後期の中唐期における社会構造の変化（世襲による貴族制から能力本位の官僚制への移行）と結びつけ、中唐期の文学のなかに、この時代特有の新たな価値観（科挙出身の新興階層による〈平民〉的価値観）の胎動を読み取ることを目指す。具体的には、①科挙受験期における勉学（刻苦勉励を重んじる努力主義的な価値観の発生）、②日常における文学創作（苦吟を重んじる風潮の流行）、③日常における趣味生活（生活の規範化・定型化）、④身体と感性（生活様式の定着とそれに伴う身体意識の変化）の四つの項目に即して研究を進めていく。本年度は研究課題全体に関わる基礎的な作業として、科挙に関する作品、勉学・読書に触れた作品を収集して考察を行い、今後、研究を展開していく上での大まかな見通しを得ることができた。
    またそれと並行して、中唐文人の祝文に関する研究を行い、その成果として学会発表「韓愈「ガク魚文」とその周辺――唐代の祝文系作品における地方官と神霊」（2021年度第32回中唐文学会大会、オンライン）を行なった。中唐期の文人は、州県の長官として地方に赴任することが多く、彼らは旱魃や水害が起こった際には、当地の祠廟に出向いて雨乞いの儀式などを挙行した。そのときに書かれた祝文の表現について考察し、彼らがしばしば土地の神霊に攻撃的な態度で臨み、〈官僚的な勤勉さ〉を神霊に要求していることなどを指摘した。本研究課題は、刻苦勉励を重んじる努力主義的な価値観の台頭をあぶり出すことを一つの目的とするが、官吏として書かれた公的な文章のなかに、勤苦を尊ぶ志向が色濃く表われていることを確認することができた。
    そのほか本研究課題に関連する成果として、共著『韓愈詩訳注第三冊』（川合康三・緑川英樹・好川聡編、研文出版、2021、執筆担当箇所は69頁-86頁）の出版に関わることができた。

    In this study, I dealt with the issue of hobbies and tastes, which have been lumped together as "literati taste," and analyzed their significance and value through literary works from the Tang and Song dynasties. Focusing on the middle and late Tang, when hobbies became particularly popular, I argued that literati considered tastes as a way to differentiate themselves from others and tried to assert their individuality through such activities, and that changes in the social structure of the time can be pointed out as the background to the discovery of such an important value in the activity of tastes. I also analyzed the musical tastes of Bai JuYi, one of the most famous literati of the Middle Tang, and clarified that he was trying to express his uniqueness in detail through his activities.

    The purpose of this research project is to look at the way views on the cosmos in Tang literature have changed through the course of the Tang Dynasty,viewed through the lens of how the objects(deities) of shrine sacrifices and these sacrificial rites themselves are depicted in these works.This project is made up from three different perspectives.The first perspective is offered by project leader Bunji Takahashi,who examines the ways in which female deities in the Tang Dynasty were portrayed,despite goddesses traditionally not being the object of worship in Confucian society.Contributor Satoshi Kato providees a second perspective,focusing on the ritual sacrifice toward empresses,a phenomenon similarly hard to omagine in traditional Confucian contexts.The final perspective is offered by Takashi Taniguchi,who tackles the question of how local officials dealt with folk shrines devoted to unorthodox gods.

    In this research, we have investigated the Ogi Nabeshima collection of books owned by the lod's family and its domain school. Furthermore, we have translated and analyzed Jujo Genji（十帖源氏）out of this collection as an example.
    As the main results of this research, we have compiled A Trial Version of the Bibliographical Notes on the Ogi Nabeshima Collection of Books,by The Ogi Nabeshima Study Group,in May 2017. We also successfully published The Transliteration and Commentary of the Jujo Genji that Have Many Notes Written in the Author's Own Hand, from Kasamashoin Publisher,Tokyo,in March 2018.
