    本研究は、北欧諸国から来日した交換留学生を対象とした「グローバル教育インターンシップ」を開発・実施することを研究目的としている。2018年夏に開始された本プログラムは、2018年度、2019年度と順調に参加者数を伸ばしててきたが、2020年度は新型コロナウィルス感染拡大により交換留学自体が全学で中止となったため、北欧からの交換留学生が入国できずプログラムを実施することができなかった。2021年度も、留学生来日時の隔離ホテルの確保や空港から大学までの移動手段の確保など、政府の指針に基づき交換留学生来日の際の入念な事前対応策を講じたが、政府の水際対策が継続されたことから入国は叶わなかった。
    そのため2020年度・2021年度については、北欧の6つの大学とメールや遠隔ビデオソフトを使用してコミュニケーションを密にとり、コロナ収束後の再開に向けて信頼関係の維持と遠隔による広報活動に努めた。また、遠隔ビデオソフトを使用し、近い将来交換留学への参加を希望する北欧の学生と日本の学生との交流会を企画したり、北欧の学生とのオンラインシンポジウムを企画したりした。また、教育インターンシップ受講学生を対象とした日本の教育や学校文化を学ぶ動画教材や大学周辺地域を紹介する生活ガイドブックを作成するなど、アフターコロナを見据えて今後の発展の下地作りを行った。
    その結果、2021年度末の日本への入国緩和政策により3名の交換留学生の来日が3月末に実現することとなり、4月から日本での留学生活を始めている。人数としては少数であるが、今回の入国をテストケースと位置づけ、コロナ禍の留学およびインターンシップの可能性と課題について研究をすすめる予定である。また、現時点で2022年秋には24名の交換留学生の来日が決定しており、本格的なインターンシッププログラムの再開に向けて準備しているところである。

    We introduced the pedagogy and the techniques of realistic teacher education into Japan and developed the teacher training programs which match to the current situation of the education in Japan.
    In addition, we published our book which enabled the quality assurance and quality improvement of teachers, organized a platform to discuss strategies for promoting realistic teacher education with in-service teachers and built the deployment base for the realistic teacher education in Japan.
