    Note (updated 09/23/2023): In this proceedings paper, referring to the Diplomatic Transcription of Li 2014 and the Chinese translation (T1606: 或對淳質堪為量者，或對善伴), my hypothetical reading "sahāyaḥ prāmāṇikaḥ" was given in footnote 19, and "companion" (sahāya) was listed as one of the debate spaces (vādādhikaraṇa). However, taking into account the term 淳質, the Tibetan translation, Abhidharmasamuccayabhāṣya (Cf. Kajiyama 1984), and the descriptions in the Yogācārabhūmi (Cf. Wayman 1958:33*28 "The Rules of Debate According to Asaṅga"; Yaita 2005:101*3), this reading would be changed: A reading such as sabhā prāmāṇikāḥ sahāyakā(ḥ) could be supported by the Tibetan translation (D 118b: 'dus pa dang / thad mar rung ba'i zla grogs rnams dang /). Then, sabhā is 3rd item, and prāmāṇika sahāyaka is 4th as shown in some previous studies. See also Chen 2018:180*308 and compare with Xuanzang's usages: 善衆 for sabhā, 助伴 for sahāya, 不淳質 for asabhya in the same text. Besides, as reported by Li 2014, as for this sentence, the right end of the palm-leaf manuscript seems broken (See. Li 2014:203 and fn. 34).
    In addition, from the same perspective, "the head of a trade," as my English translation of prāmāṇika, should be reconsidered, although this interpretation was based on the Chinese translation of ASBh (T1606: 淳質堪爲量者。謂商人等。善伴者。謂於伴侶中立論者。敵論者不越其言。).
    Anyway, I am so sorry for my careless and unclear interpretation.

    本研究課題では、議論従事者の資質・行為や議論構築の方法論に関する記述がみられるサンスクリット文献の分析を通して、中世インド議論学における議論構築の方法論を明らかにするため、その基礎研究を充実させることを目指した。そのため、ニヤーヤ学派やヴェーダーンタ学派等のインド哲学諸派の文献において提示される典型的な議論プロセスの比較分析を行った。とりわけ、議論において用いられる主たる認識手段に関するマドヴァ派とニヤーヤ学派との間の相違に着目し、両者の認識論的枠組みが実践的な議論の構築方法に影響を与えている可能性を指摘した。その成果は国際学会（4th WORLD CONGRESS ON LOGIC AND RELIGION）にて報告した。さらに、基礎研究に必要不可欠な一次資料の蒐集のため、インド、タミルナードゥ州の図書館等において、ニヤーヤ議論学文献を中心としたサンスクリット貝葉・紙写本の調査・発注・撮影を行った。今回の訪問を通して新たに獲得した研究ネットワークについても、報告者の今後の研究の基礎として機能しうるものであると確信している。なお、本研究課題は早稲田大学高等研究所における研究課題（2023-2025年度）と関連する。
