主として世紀転換期から両大戦間期にいたるドイツ語圏の映像文化・メディア文化とその理論的言説について研究しています。

早稲田大学・東京大学でドイツ文学を、ベルリン自由大学で近現代ドイツ文学・映画学を専攻したのち、2019年、ベルリン自由大学哲学・人文科学専門分野において「最優等」（'summa cum laude'）の成績で博士号（Dr. phil.）を取得しました。

2020年には、博士論文に基づく著書 Metaphorologie des Kinos. Sprachbilder und Intermedialität im literarischen Kinodiskurs der Klassischen Moderne（『映画の隠喩学──20世紀初頭ドイツ語圏の文学的映画言説におけるメタファーとインターメディアリティ』）を出版しました。なお、本書は2022年に第19回日本独文学会・DAAD賞（ドイツ語研究書部門）を受賞しました。

法政大学文学部英文学科を経て、現在、早稲田大学商学学術院商学部にて専任講師として研究・教育に携わっています。目下取り組んでいる研究プロジェクトは以下のとおりです：

・ヴァイマル期の文学と映画における〈毒ガス〉表象のメディア横断的分析（日本学術振興会科学研究費助成事業 若手研究）

・〈人造人間〉の比較文学・比較メディア研究──映画『アイム・ユア・マン』を中心に（早稲田大学特定課題研究助成費 研究基盤形成）

また、早稲田大学商学部でドイツ語科目（初級クラス週６コマおよび上級クラス週１コマ）や基礎演習を、文学部・文化構想学部と教育学部でヴァイマル映画論や映像文化論などの講義を担当しているほか、法政大学文学部で比較文学の講義を受け持っています。

    今年度は以下のふたつの作業に重点を置いて研究を行なった：１）映画『炭坑』（ドイツ 1931年 Ｇ．Ｗ．パープスト監督）分析／２）ドイツのアーカイヴでの文献・映像資料調査。１）映画『炭坑』は第一次世界大戦後のドイツ文学・ドイツ映画において〈毒ガス〉モティーフが登場する代表的な作品のひとつである。本研究ではまず、この作品がとりわけ〈毒ガス〉表象をめぐって第一次大戦の記憶を間接的に形象化する〈シェル・ショック・シネマ〉（アントン・ケース）の一例と見做しうることを確認したうえで、この〈毒ガス〉表象にペーター・スローターダイク『球体圏』第３巻『泡沫』（2004年）における議論などを援用して分析を加え、その結果について早稲田ドイツ語学・文学会研究発表会において研究発表を行なった。その後研究を進めるなかで、本作での〈毒ガス〉表象についてはさらなる文学史的・映画史的調査のほか、19世紀末以来の〈衛生〉観念や〈空気〉の現象学、近年の〈人新世〉にかんする議論など、より多角的な観点から分析を行なう必要があることが明らかになった。目下、その研究成果を論文にまとめて発表することを目指している。２）１週間ほどドイツに研究滞在し、〈毒ガス〉モティーフが登場する戦間期の文学作品・映画について複数の図書館やアーカイヴで文献・映像資料の調査を行なった。現在、これらの資料を整理し、今後の調査分析のための基盤を構築しつつある。
