    2023年度の主要研究成果は、① 学会／研究会発表4回、② 国際的共同研究への参加、③　英語論文 “Leave Asia, Enter Europe” inMid-Twentieth Century Japan: The Racial Politics of Revision of the 1952Administrative Agreement as A Transimperial History of Japan and the UnitedStates”（2024年4月投稿予定）である。また、  International Convention of Asian Scholars 2023年度人文学博士論文審査委員長賞を受賞したことは、目下の最重要研究課題である英語書籍の執筆を進めるうえで、大きな励みになった。 　学会／研究会発表 報告者はこれまで英語圏の学会を中心に口頭発表の業績を積んできたため、日本国際政治学会2023年度研究大会・日本外交史分科会にて、論文「1950年代初期における米軍の対日刑事裁判権政策―日米行政協定第17条改定と国連軍地位協定交渉」を発表できたことは、有意義であった。専門・研究関心を共有するベテラン・若手の研究者が登壇し、70名ほどの参加があった。なお、同論文は、学位論文において十分に取り上げることができていなかった国連軍地位協定交渉に関する実証研究の成果をまとめたものである。加えて、早稲田大学アジア太平洋研究センター研究業績発表会（報告テーマ「日米間帝国史における現代沖縄の位置づけ——冷戦期沖日米関係と第三世界の思想的交錯を手がかりに」）にて日本史・国際政治史・東アジア冷戦史の専門家から得たフィードバックも③英語論文の構想を再構築するうえで貴重な手掛かりとなった。 　国際的共同研究への参加　　2023年8月、日韓の研究者が集う「米軍基地研究会」（代表　成田千尋氏）の韓国フィールドワークに参加した。今後も、東アジア地域に根差した研究貢献を図るため、英語圏における同分野研究者とのネットワークも活かしつつ、本共同研究に継続して参加する。なお、その一環として、以下の研究に着手した。公益財団法人 ヒロセ財団「第10回（令和5年度）研究助成」、「米軍基地史研究におけるジェンダー分析の地位・役割」、共同研究「日本・沖縄・韓国の米軍基地とその連関・周辺地域の変化に関する比較研究」、2023年度―2025年度、20万円  　英語論文執筆・投稿 2023年度の研究成果をまとめた以下論文を2024年4月に投稿予定である。  “Leave Asia, EnterEurope” in Mid-Twentieth Century Japan: The Racial Politics of Revision of the1952 Administrative Agreement as A Transimperial History of Japan and theUnited States”

  • 米駐留軍に係る対沖／日刑事裁判権政策（日米地位協定第17条）をめぐる歴史学的研究

    本研究の目的は、戦後米軍対外刑事裁判権政策をめぐる政治力学のグローバル・ヒストリーを、同国の政策決定者と米軍統治下沖縄／ポスト占領下日本住民間の交渉史として、歴史学的実証にもとづき明らかにすることにある。中長期研究計画としては、現在、博士論文“The Politicsof Extraterritoriality in U.S.-Occupied Okinawa and Post-Occupation Japan,1952-1972” (Boston College, 2021) の成果をもとに、単著（日本語・英語）出版準備に取り組んでいる。本特定課題（2022年9月～2023年3月）をつうじては、とりわけ日本語・英語圏の文献調査に集中的に取り組み、日米関係史研究における本研究の位置づけを再検討した。研究成果の一部については、早稲田大学アジア太平洋研究センター研究業績発表会（2023年1月）にて発表した。
