    本研究は在宅生活を送る軽度認知症の人に配慮した居住環境整備の手法を明らかにし、実用可能なガイドラインを作成することを目的としている。
    経年変化を捉えるため、同一事例に対し複数回の訪問調査を実施することにより、軽度の対象者への居住環境整備の手法の明確化や認知症当事者の希望や意向を尊重する居住環境整備のプロセスを明らかにすることを目指している。しかしながら、コロナ禍のため当初計画通りの訪問調査を実施することが困難な状況が続いているため、2020年度の研究成果に基づき軽度の認知症の人向けのガイドラインの案の作成した。

    「施設環境づくり支援プログラムの継続と向上のための理論モデル」を適用した施設の中から、グッドプラクティス事例（GP）の４年間の実践を取り上げ、この理論モデルの有用性について明らかにした。１）施設環境づくりに効果的なプログラム要素が、着実に実施された。２）認知症高齢者のライフスタイルや自立を維持する環境づくりが実施された。３）施設環境づくりによる「サービス成果」として、認知症高齢者にふさわしい施設環境へと大きく改善した。４）施設環境づくりによる「利用者成果」として、認知症高齢者の社会活動や自律的生活が向上した。５）実践施設の職員による自己評価と他施設職員によるピア評価に基づく施設環境づくりの仕組みが、施設環境づくり支援プログラムの継続と向上に有用であることが示唆された。

    In late years, the interest of day service staff about creating institutional environment has increased. They use" Guidelines on environmental support for elderly dementia (PEAP Japanese ver.3)" in their practice in each place . This theory was developed at the elderly nursing home, so we have to paid attention to differences between day service center and nursing home. We made the check list about matters that require attention along the staying process in day service center. Ifstaffs utilize this checklist, they would be able to understand creating institutional environment and the relation with support effects of day service. In revision of the next nursing-care insurance system, the administration of day service by various people is groped. Many people including nonspecialists will need to understand about the environmental support for users at day service center in future. This checklist must help them as a guidance when they create institutional environment in day service center.

    This study aims to demonstrate characteristics of current situations of career development and their issues with graduates of the certified care worker course (CCWC) of Japan College of Social work (JCSW), and to discuss the roles of social work universities using the results of the alumni survey of the JCSW. Subjects were all of 4,835 alumni members whose addresses were listed in the register. We analyzed 2,160 respondents (45%) of the self-completed questionnaire survey.Career development and its needs of 139 members who completed the CCWC were compared with those of other courses graduated after 1993 when the CCWC was launched. About 80 percent of the graduates with the CCWC were female and narrow age distribution on their thirties. They sometimes changed their jobs by their marriage and child-raising rather than their promotion as compared with other course graduates. It is necessary for the universities to arrange learning environment that can provide special considerations to their life stage and work-life balances. In addition, enhancement of continuous education systems including graduate education with human resource cultivation for the graduates, in particular female graduates, with CCWC who have competencies to research and education in social work universities is needed to be considered.

    "Institutional environment creation support program considering elderly persons with dementia", based on environmental psychology, has been practically researched for more than ten years at special elderly nursing homes etc. and a welfare practice program with a practice manual, an environment creation website, etc. already prepared. This study intended to try to construct a provisional effective practice model through systematic arrangement of "Institutional environment creation support program" applying ideas of Program evaluation theory and methodology for further development and prevalence of the program. We drew out a logic model showing the basic relations among: one, Program impact theory representing causation of effects caused by the program; two, organization plan to provide services effectively; three, service using plan to steer to better effects; four, effective support factors for services to exercise their effects; five, components of the program, targeting institutional environment creation practice at ten special elderly nursing homes which we had conducted intervention researches of using this program.

    At institutions where practical intervention research had been conducted using a support program for creating institutional environments with consideration for elderly people with dementia, we evaluated changes in the degree of satisfaction with the environment, levels of stress and behavior among elderly people before and after the creation of the environment, and demonstrated the effectiveness of the program. Based on the results of practical intervention research, we developed a practical manual for creating institutional environments in the forms of a book and Japanese and English CDs. Using the manual as teaching material, we conducted training and education programs for practicing staff and undergraduate and graduate students, and evaluated their effectiveness. Lastly, we presented a model of the wide range of effects of the environment creation support program on staff and elderly people, as well as a model of the diffusion of training and practice using the program.
