    本研究は、集団的イノベーション生成プロセスである「共創」のメカニズムを明らかにすることを目的とする。社会課題の解決や社会的価値創造に効果を発揮するようなイノベーションの生成プロセスを対象とする。具体的には次の3点の課題に取り組んだ。(1)難定義問題(ill-defined problem)の性質を持つ社会的課題に取り組む「共創」の難しさはどこに求められるのか、(2)多様なステークホルダーがイノベーション生成プロセスに関与する意義は何か、(3)多様なステークホルダーの「共創」から革新性が高く、実効性も高いイノベーションが生まれやすいアプローチはどのようなものか。文献研究および「共創」の一形態であるリビング・ラボのインタビュー調査（国内のリビング・ラボ2か所、国外（デンマーク）のリビング・ラボ1か所、リビング・ラボのコンサルティング会社1社）を実施した。(1)～(3)についての考察結果は、以下のようにまとめられる。（1）「共創」の難しさ:　社会的課題は多様性、複雑性、不確実性という特徴を持つ。社会的課題の本質的な問題の探求にかける時間および労力と、イノベーションの革新性および効果の大きさは、少なくとも部分的にトレードオフの関係にあるように考えられる。（2）多様なステークホルダーの意義:　人間中心デザインやトリプルヘリックスモデル（産学官連携のモデル）から多様なステークホルダーの「共創」の意義を明らかにした。知識社会では多様なステークホルダーの活発な「共創」の意義がより大きくなると考えられる。（3）「共創」の効果的なアプローチ:　 エフェクチュエーション理論(Sarasvathy, 2008)を手掛かりとして、「触媒」機能が効果的に機能する「共創」のアプローチを考察した。個人がコントロール可能であり、かつ、リスクを許容できる範囲で目標に向かって行動するプラグマティズムのアプローチが効果的であることが仮説的に導かれた。研究の成果は、１つの国際学会および２つの国内学会にて発表報告した。
