Introduction : In the present study, we compared the care burden and stigma experienced by families of patients with schizophrenia in Japan (Niigata) and Korea (Seoul, Daegu) in order to elucidate similarities and differences in the sociocultural factors that affect the care experience of families in East Asia.Methods : Factors such as care burden (evaluated using the 8-item short version of the Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview : ZBI-8), stigma, and social distance were evaluated for members of support groups for families of mentally impaired individuals in Japan (n=47) and Korea (n=92) using an interview questionnaire. Interviewees reported their personal attitudes (personal stigma, social distance) and perceptions of the attitudes of others in the community (perceived stigma) with respect to a case vignette. These vignettes described a person with chronic schizophrenia.Results : The data analysis revealed the following : 1) feelings of care burden (according to ZBI-8), perceived stigma, and social distance were significantly stronger in Japan compared to Korea, and 2) feelings of personal stigma were significantly stronger in Korea than in Japan.Discussion : The care burden and s

Upon examining historical changes in regional characteristics and measurement formation in the support of patients with mental disorders in the Kyushu Region, factors leading to the concentration of patients in Kyushu was found to be complicated, and both continuous and non-continuous sides between before and after the war were observed. BSC研究では、前年度の文献研究中心から、2009年度はフィールド介入研究を主におこなった。まず、飯能市での地域福祉計画・地域福祉活動計画における住民懇話会での話し合いにSWOT分析を活用した。SWOTとは、強み(Strength)、弱み(Weakness)、機会(Opportunity)、脅威,(Threat) を意味する。これを用いた分析は広く企業で活用されているが、福祉分野では開発が遅れている。しかし、福祉分野でも組織や活動の戦略が明確でない場合、それを明確にする第１段階の作業として将来のあるべき姿を把握し、組織外と組織内を取り巻く環境を正しく分析する手法として有効である。この成果は飯能市地域福祉計画及び同活動計画に反映された。　また、BSCの枠組みからその指標作成を行うため、沖縄県浦添市社会福祉協議会、長崎県諫早市社会福祉協議会及び香川県琴平町社会福祉協議会の協力を得て、継続的な研究会を現地の社協職員が討論に参加してSWOT分析やBSCの各指標の作成をおこなった。浦添市社協では、現在BSC指標も完成し、地域福祉活動計画の進行管理に応用している。諫早市社協では、BSC研究を2007年に開始し、2008年にミッションとビジョンの確認と、SWOT分析のための職員アンケート調査結果の検討、BSCの4つの視点における業務評価指標に関する意見交換を行った。2009年に入り、BSC作成までの流れのうち、成果指標・ターゲット（目標値）の設定を行い、社協全職員による社協のミッションとビジョンの確認、各課によるSWOTの分析が進められた。琴平町社協では、SWOT分析が終了し、2009年度からBSC指標の作成に取り組むところである。　これらの取り組みにより、モデル的なSWOT分析例を開発し、またBSCによる進行管理が有益であることに感触を得た。この成果により、上記の社協では組織のイノベーションが進み、職員の意識も大きく変容した。これらの成果を、千葉県社会福祉協議会では、地域福祉関係者の研修で応用し普及を図り、東京都社会福祉協議会福祉人材の研修でも研修プログラムに反映して実施することができた。今後は、BSCの全国的普及のために、モデル実施地域を増やしていく予定である。
