    The present study is a continued research into teacher’s utterance in arts and crafts・art classes. This research empirically clarifies the characteristics of arts and crafts classes and art classes at different school stages like schools of elementary, junior and high schools through the comparative analysis of teacher’s utterance. As a result of comparing the three subject classes, it is confirmed that the concepts handled in classes become abstract and advanced as the school age goes up. At the same time, a lot of utterances of teachers who relate to concrete materials and tools are seen although they respond to what children want to express in arts and crafts classes in elementary schools. Whereas, in the classes of junior high schools, a lot of utterances of teachers are found to encourage problem solving in students with a focus of attention to formative perspectives and in high school art classes, this research has found the equality is important when teachers are involved with groping for the egos of students in the mid-term of the young.

    This is a continuing study on utterances of the teacher in arts and crafts classes. This paper analyzes the nature of the utterances of practitioners of creative extracurricular education and clarifies substantially its structure and characteristics. As a result, from the distribution of the third educational language, forms of utterance peculiar to the practice concerned appear. In other words, "distinctions among polite and everyday forms," "demands for self-direction and subjectivity," and "recommendations of failure." A close inspection of these utterance forms shows that the third educational language occupies a radical position in relations to other educational languages and its existence determines the construction of the practice. Furthermore, the paper presents the effectiveness of connecting the non-daily life of the workshop and the everyday life of the child in the class practice of arts and crafts education, and finds that it is important that the practitioner be "a creator and a teacher" in order to realize it.

    This study is part of an ongoing study on the speech of teachers in art and crafts classes. Through the study of the speech of teachers, it examines the role of the "third educational language." The results show that the "third educational language," in the forms of "silence" and "paralanguage," has the role of complementing the emotional expression of the teacher and may help children grasp the content of instructional speech given in the "first educational language." The study also suggests that the special use of 'irony' in these classes has the role of stimulating initiative in children. These aspects of speech reveal the educational beliefs of the speakers, that is, the teachers. From this a hypothetical image of an art teacher embodying the "educational atmosphere" proposed by Otto Bollnow was presented.

    In this study I analyzed the utterances of the teacher in art classes in relation with the professional experience of the teacher and attempt to clarify the structure and characteristics of the utterances. I compared the classes of two teachers with differing teaching backgrounds and suggest that the manner in which teachers' utterances are expressed or the feeling of the expression can be called "the third education language." I suggest that the linguistic context of the utterance is important. Furthermore, I discuss the possibility that the attitude of "permission" of the teacher in decision-making in the class is characteristic of art classes.

In the first study lesson, I confirmed that "second education language" utterances" serve to promote the expressive activity of children. I was also able to clarify the existence of "utterances based on a position of equality with the child and on reversibility." In this paper, these utterances are described as the "third education language."

    This study begins with historical research of the author concerning the concept of "Design by the Child" from the dawn of design education in Japan. It confirins that the concept of "Design by the Child" is in the flow-like relationship of the composition of the solid of "Child-Society-Education," and that. it is continually being renewed. Next, I examine it's transformation and it's ties with the state of design in the present age, and, as factors forming the concept of "Design by the Child", I arrive at the aspects of <sense> and <image>. Furthermore, I suggest the educational possibility for the creative solutions of problems structured by these two aspects.

    This article considers subject structure through examining the change of contents of art education in the course of study, a formation of the contents constitution process before the introduction of 'zoukei-asobi (Formative Play)' in particular. At first I looked at the change of the contents constitution of art education in the course of study from the 1947 version to the one of 1968. Second, I examined the consideration at the study of the contents, which was carried out in 1955, however was not reflected at the course of study, and the trial introduction of 'zoukei-asobi' at the formulating process. For accepting to the educational practice, three-dimensional structure of contents requested the connection with the ability and talent of children in the structure of art education. The result was confirmed.

    The purpose of this research is to examine the case of curriculum management and its significance practically. This practice is carried out at Takehaya Elementary School attached to Tokyo Gakugei University, where the author worked until last year. From before, this elementary school concerned itself with education research, which aimed at "education practice to make with children", and it is making use of that practical principle for the class of the subject and the curriculum organization as well. In this paper, the process of the plan and practice in the "Curriculum to make with Children" is made clear, and also the significance and possibility under the curriculum organization is examined based on the questionnaire evaluation by the children at the end of the school year.

    Appreciation is a communicative act with intervention of art works, and mutual interchange by 'seeing' art works. Most cases of former appreciation learning, however, were done by one-way transmission with 'language communication' as a supplementary means. If we think of appreciation from the view of recognition, of course we can recognize act of 'seeing' by 'language'. Peculiar communication of art creation activities is, however, non-language, and the 'error', which exists there is important. The error is embodied images of a viewer, therefore it contains rich educational value. In this paper, I examined the educational meaning of 'communication through art creation' paying attention to that error, which was applied into classroom practice.

  • A Study of the Clinical Inter-relationship, which is between the Child and the Teacher : A Study on Contents Restructuring in Art Education II

    Essentially there is a clinical relationship between the child and the teacher, and in the relationship there is educational content which is needed for 'the child' at 'the time'. In order to find the content, the teacher has to understand the inside of the child, but this has been ambiguous. This research tries to provide related thigs about the teacher's clinical practice in dealing with children's learning, looking at the field of human science, especially clinical psychology. In the result of the practical inspection of the activity of elementary school second graders, the following were able to be extracted from looking at the widened and developed meaning of the activity : 'inter-subjective approach of the teacher', 'feedback and feed forward of the teacher' and 'moved' and 'moving' consciousness of the teacher'. In education which is more children-centred than today, it will be important that future teachers decide their treatment in the clinical relationship with children.

    In everyday lessons, there are two approaches available to a teacher who supports children's creative development. One approach involves activities which ask children to create representations of the external world that are "developmentally" accurate. The other approach involves activities which contain structural conflicts designed to inspire children to attempt developmental leaps. In this paper I define these two positions as "to express nature "and" to express the inner self".By defining the scope and sequence of the content of children's creative education with these two approaches in mind, I'll attempt to restructure the teaching content of my lessons.

    コロナ感染の拡大により、年度前半は全く国内外を対象とした実地調査ができる状況になかった。また、会議で参集することも難しくオンラインで対応したが、詳細なポイントを共有することが困難であった。
    一方、昨年度後半の緊急事態宣言の解除に伴い、国内調査を11月から開始することができた。芸術統合型学習を行う子ども園の調査、国際バカロレア教育を行う小学校及び高等学校の調査、アイヌ文化を継承発展させるウポポイ（民族共生象徴空間）の調査を2月までに集中的に行った。その結果、芸術統合型学習を行うにあたっては、地域、保護者、議会、予算、教員の養成、研修など単に教育的な視点だけでなく、社会、政治なども含めた多様な視点が必要であることが明らかになった。
    また、大分の小学校において地域産業や特産物をもとにした芸術統合型学習の授業実践を行ったが、ここにおいても芸術統合型学習が地域や産業、企業を包含した視点を持つ重要性など、地域の実態に応じて芸術統合型学習の形態が大きく異なることが判明した。また、子供と教師が共に学習を構築する柔軟性が重要であることが判明した。
    ただし、これらの結果は、研究分担者の松本浩司が2022/3に発表した「芸術統合型学習の今日的役割―学校教育改革と芸術をめぐる社会的変化」『日本美術教育研究論集』55号（1-12頁）において、すでに論理的に指摘した結果と一致する。今後は、調査対象を拡大するとともに、論文において指摘した芸術統合型学習を行うメリットについて検討し、質問紙調査項目作成等を進めていく予定である。

    本年度は，研究代表者の移籍が伴ったことと，covid-19の影響により，十分に研究を遂行することができなかった。その中でも取り組むことができた課題は以下の通りである。
    (1)授業研究，とりわけ授業者の「授業観」「子ども観」「教育観」を視野に入れた授業研究に関する先行研究分析調査に取り組んだ。エリオット・アイズナーの「鑑識眼」，動機づけ理論における子ども理解など，今後の理論構築に資する情報を蓄積することができた。
    (2)これまで取り組んできた研究成果のまとめを行うとともに，その成果を教育実践に還元するために，実践家（教諭）による活用事例を検討した。事例では，主に校内研修や市内研修の機会において実践を分析する際に，教師の発話，とりわけ「第3教育言語」の生起に着目して，その周辺の出来事（教師の意思決定，子ども理解の内実等）を語り合うことを通して，授業者，そして参観者の「授業観」「子ども観」「教育観」が顕在化していることを確認した。
    (3)上記(2)の検討結果を美術科教育学会千葉大会で共同発表する予定であったが，covid-19の影響により開催が中止となったため，発表することができなかった。ただし，当大会の「予稿集」には，研究概要を掲載し，公開することができた（この「予稿集」への研究成果掲載は，別の学会への発表を妨げるものではない）。
    次年度においても，covid-19の影響が続くと思われる。特に，教育現場で行われる授業実践への関与や，実践家との共同は困難であることが予測される。その対策として，文献調査や質問紙調査による研究遂行の可能性を探ることを検討している。

    本研究は,普通教育においてデザインがもつ教育的意義を検討したうえで,子どもの成長発達に即した学習プログラムを開発するものである。平成19年度では,以下の事項を遂行した。
    1.我国の初等デザイン教育の黎明期における「子どものデザイン」概念の検討を通した普通教育におけるデザイン教育原理の創出
    昭和30年代の社会変動とともに揺れ動いた「子どものデザイン」概念のあり様から,あるべき普通教育におけるデザイン教育の原理を考察し,明らかにした。
    2.現代デザインや複合領域研究と美術教育の接点を探る原理的考察
    原研哉をはじめとする現代デザイン理論をリードする論拠や社会学や生態学などの複合領域研究から,美術教育のあり方をとらえ直す試みを行った。
    3.海外における研究内容の検討
    イタリアのローマ日本人学校,現地学校等において,本研究で開発しつつある学習プログラムの有効性を検証した。これまでの研究成果により広い論拠を付与することができた。さらにイタリアにおける教育活動を視察し,現地の教育者から知見を得ることによって,新たな視点からプログラム開発を行うことができた。
    4.デザイン教育プログラムの開発
    以上の考察をふまえて,小中学校を縦断するデザイン学習プログラムの骨格を作成した。

  • 図画工作・美術科教育における「社会に開かれた教育課程」に関する調査研究

    図画工作・美術科における「社会に開かれた教育課程」は，個々の題材ではなくカリキュラム・デザインによって具現化されるものであることを確認した。そして海外の先駆的実践であるCBAE（Community-based Art Education）等の教育実践や，デザイン思考やその限界を乗り越えようとするスペキュラティブ・デザイン等の先端理論の分析から，子どもの発想が社会投企そのものである可能性が示唆された。以上の研究を通して，令和4年度の科学研究費基盤研究(Ｃ)（課題名「デザイン思考の検討を通じた美術教育の教材開発と教科コンセプトの再構築」）の申請を行い採択を得たので、来年度より3か年の研究を開始する。
