    This study focuses on "a temporary place" which is set up in outdoor public spaces routinely to generate a start of interaction among various people. We try to analyze how to put "a temporary place" into practice and what element there are. We make clear that people in this place tend to spend our time on our own. This tendency should arise from a few spatial limitation of outside space. In addition, you want to set up "a temporary place", you should form relationships with the government and neighborhood associations to get approval for your action from them.

Subjects (aged 3 to 6) were presented with a referent and were then asked to use KORE, SORE, or ARE.Results showed:1) Young children distinguish between KORE and ARE.2) The area covered by KORE depended on whether the subject was sitting or standing. When standing, KORE covers an area in front and diagonally to the right; whereas when sitting, it covers an area in front and laterally to the right.3) The KORE area shape was the same for males and females.

    In this paper the group size and the occupied area in children's free activities extracted by photos taken in each 10 minutes at children's nurseries were studied. Shapes of areas occupied by play activities were mostly consistent with the shape of situated activity areas they took place in and sizes of situated areas mostly matched the activity's needs. Following points also emerged: 1) Most groups had up to 6 members; 2) Area size of 2 tatami-mat, or even smaller in some cases, should be sufficient; 3) Shape types and activity kinds had different tendencies in size changing behaviors of activities.

    The purpose of this paper is as follows: (1) to obtain knowledge on current management of integrated facilities within functions of nursery school and day nursery (hereinafter, Integrated Facilities), based on questionnaire resurvey, (2) to analyze the relationships between management conditions such as integration type and scale, and the mixture of children of short- and long-hour daycare, and (3) to analyze the activity place changes during a day at facilities of the mixture of children of short- and long-hour daycare, based on a hearing survey.<br>The results are as follows: (1) reasons of integration strongly influence on facilities management, (2) scale of facilities is related to reasons of integration, management type and building configuration, (3) characteristics of Integrated Facilities are demonstrated by the ratio of prescribed number of children to the maximum capacity, which is equivalent to the ratio of area used for daycare functions to the whole, (4) the elements such as fluctuation size of children number during extended daycare time, presence of dedicated room for extended daycare, and total number of classrooms, influence on the frequency of activity place changes, and (5) The area used for extended daycare is decided according to the convenience of watch, staff number, appropriateness for activities and so on.

    An experimental research was conducted to study student's acceptance of environmental transformation and their behavior toward it in the classroom, by means of observation of the student's behavior and a questionnaire of free description form. Students of an elementary school and a junior high school experienced an experimental classroom of which ceiling height was set to 2.4m, 2.7m or 3.0m. As a result, it was confirmed that the students' reactions are different according to the ceiling height, the school age, and the date. Students not only reacted to the ceiling but also showed the reaction toward the objects lowered by lowing of the ceiling.

    In this study we aimed to find out the actual condition of classroom, especially the appropriate class size in Japanese school. Thus we conducted a nationwide questionnaire survey on the teachers who were in charge of classes of elementary school, junior high school and high school. Through this survey we reached the findings as follows; 1)there were a little difference in environmental evaluation among the grade which they were in charge of, 2)there were significant difference in environmental evaluation among different levels of area per student, 3)from the factor analysis, we found out 2 factors; spaciousness and stability, 4)in the teachers' free description, width of the classroom was most important factor both in their satisfaction and dissatisfaction, 5)we could show the figuring process about the appropriate class size.

    This paper aims to report on the actual management states of the integrated facilities within functions of nursery school and nursery in various cases. Then, we tried to arrange merits and issues on management of these facilities, and gain foundational knowledge to plan these facilities. For this purpose, firstly we conducted hearings with many local governments and flagship, facilities, and observational survey at those facilities. Secondly, we grasped and arranged following points in each local governments and flagship facilities,: 1) the actual management states, 2) the process and backbround of introducing the integrating, 3) the detail consideration to whole concept of these integrated facilities, 4) merits and issues on managemeting the integrating.

    An experimental research was conducted to study the influence of ceiling height of class room on the subjective impression of students, with a special interest in the difference of age and adaptation to the room. Three class rooms with the ceiling height of 2.4m, 2.7m and 3.0m in a elementary school and a junior high school were evaluated on its impression by students of five different grades at the beginning and the end of their temporary staying of two weeks. As a result, older students evaluate the room less spacious, and age show larger effect than the ceiling height and the influence of adaptation. Additionally the results show the possibility of the existence of adequate height for the subjective impression of class room.

    This study aims at considering the interaction between children s ways of becoming members of society and space through observation of settings and their playing behaviors. This study revealed the following results; Children acquire sociality by linking the physical environment of the way of playing, to the places of previous experiences and the various playgroups. A series of actions showed spontaneous behavior of the children towards places such 'the places they meet' and 'the places they recognize'. Visual relationships joined the places of playing or extended them. By playing together in the growing environment and preserving the human relationships children are obtaining ability of appropriateness in space and in association with their peers.

    I explored the process of nursery and kindergarten are integrated. From the national survey, I was confirmed a long time child care and infant care in kindergarten. They were those that match the characteristics of the municipality. I was investigated added the infant to kindergarten in the "Kodomoen=Preschool that integrates the nursery and kindergarten ". I confirmed it is necessary to prepare the next minimum reference to "shared space".Environment-conscious all at once childcare, has been changing the environment in response to the growth of the individual.I investigated the "use of space" and "behavioral observation" in Denmark. Percentage who are individuals was higher when compared to Japan. In addition, awareness of the importance that everyone gather was born. And I was able to confirm the set scene

    ADHDを中心とした発達障害児のための環境に関する研究と題して研究を進めた。実際のフィールドでの取り組みを確認するために国内数件の発達障害を受け入れている施設に訪問し、子どもの行動様態や家具等の設えに伴う具体的な距離感など、人的物的な実測調査を行った。それによって、発達障害のある子どもを専用室として設けるケースではなく健常児と共存する際の環境が明らかになった。健常児らの集団とある距離を保ちながらも遊具や什器を使いながら触りながら居る状況があり、それら距離を保つケースごとの落ち着きを測ることができれば、設え方や空間配置を提示できる道筋が見えた。

  • ADHDを中心とした発達障害児のための落ち着く環境に関する研究

     本研究では、注意欠陥・多動性障害(ADHD)を中心とした発達障害児童に着目し、多動な児童や気になる児童の(1)環境的支援の実践過程や(2)身体の動きと環境要素との関係を明らかにする。特に対象を就学前児童とすることで、早期発見や早期ケアによって、発達障害の悪化を防ぐことを目的としている。 2018年度は、落ち着く環境に着目し、夜間保育園と動きのある環境を用意した保育園での調査を実施した。アンケート調査から延長保育前の夕方の時間帯に最も落ち着きがなくなることがわかった。落ち着きを判断する指標として心拍に着目したところ、午睡や夜間就寝時には心拍数が低く、ばらつきのある活動としてごろ寝、高い範囲で推移する園庭あそび、などが確認できた。&nbsp;
