    日本古代の文書行政の実態を知る上で極めて重要な史料と位置づけられている正倉院文書には，周知のように実に多種の古代印が押されている。本稿では，その中から，特に東大寺内の組織運営システムと密接にかかわると考えられる「東大寺印」と「造東寺印」を取り上げ，これまで主に個々の文書の接続関係や内容から検討されてきた正倉院文書に，印影の考察から，新たな分析視角を与えることを試みる。正倉院文書中に見られる「東大寺印」は現在三種が確認できるが，そのうち，古代印と認められるものは二種である。また，同じく「造東寺印」も二種を確認したが，古代印と断定できるものは一種のみであった。このことを前提として，「東大寺印」「造東寺印」の変遷と両印の関係を示すと以下のようになる。天平宝字５年末までに鋳造された「東大寺印」は，宝亀２年に他の寺印が官鋳で頒下されるに伴って，改鋳されることとなる。一方「造東寺印」も天平勝宝４年10月から宝亀２年９月の間は少なくとも存在していることが確認される。造東大寺司の作成する文書にはこの両印がいずれも使用されているが，造東大寺司では，寺内に伝達する文書には「造東寺印」を押印し，寺外に伝達する文書には「東大寺印」を押印するという，文書行政上の使い分けを行っていたと考えられる。なお，天平勝宝４年以降，造東大寺司と東大寺三綱は，互いに往復する文書にそれぞれの東大寺内での所属名を冠した印を用いており，造東大寺司と三綱が同居する東大寺はその内部において，少なくとも奈良時代中葉以降は，それぞれの所属の印を用いた文書による組織運営システムを確立しつつあったことが窺われるのである。The Shōsō-In Documents (正倉院文書), classified as extremely important materials for ascertaining the actual state of the documentary governance of Japan in old times, bear a variety of old seals as already known to the people concerned. This paper discusses, among others, the "Tōdaiji Seal" (東大寺印) and the "Zōtōji Seal" (造東寺印) which are considered to have had a close relationship particularly with the management system of Tōdaiji Temple, trying to give a new perspective over the Shōsō-in Documents, so far studied principally with respect to mutual positional relationship of the contexts of individual documents separated into a plural number of sheets, from the viewpoint of studies on seal marks.Three types of "Tōdaiji Seals" appearing in the Shōsō-in Documents were already identified, and two of the said three are ascertained as old seal marks. Identically, three type of "Zōtōji Seals" were also identified, but only one type was determined as an old time seal. Based on this fact, the changes and mutual relationship of both the "Tōdaiji Seals" and "Zōtōji Seals" can be confirmed as shown below.The Tōdaiji Seal, cast at and before the end of the 5th year of Tempyōhōji (A.D.761), was recast simultaneously with the seal marks of other temples were cast officially and issued in the 2nd year of Hōki (A.D.771). The presence of the Zōtōji Seal during the period from the October of the 4th year of Tempyōshōhō (A.D.751) to September of the 2nd year of Hōki (A.D.771) was confirmed, but it is considered that the office of Zōtōdaiji-shi (造東大寺司) used the Zōtōji Seal in their internal documents while putting the Tōdaiji Seal in the documents issued outside the temple.In addition, after the 4th year of Tempyōshōhō, the officials of Zōtōdaiji-shi and Sangō (三綱) of Tōdaiji Temple used in their mutually exchanged documents the seals bearing their sections to which they belonged. This shows that after the middle of the Nara era, a administrative system using official documents affixed with seals was being established in Tōdaiji Temple including the offices of Zōtōdaiji-shi and Sangō managing household of Tōdaiji Temple.

    近年、人文学、とりわけ古典をめぐる研究や教育を取り巻く環境は年々厳しさを増している。本研究は、こうした学界の現状を正面から見据え、日本における和漢の「文」と、日本古典籍をめぐる学術文化史をグローバルな視野から捉え、過去から現在に至る人文知の歩みについて研究を進めることにより、古典学の課題や意義を改めて問い直し、発信していくことを目指すものである。具体的には、①日本における「文」の概念をめぐる通史を描き出す研究、②東アジアと世界の古典学の比較研究、③日中古典籍の交流と融合をめぐる研究、以上三つの柱を設定して、ワークショップなどを通して研究を展開し、それぞれの成果を書籍としてまとめていく

    本研究は、古代の渡来人を「倭」「日本」への移動者と再定義し、移動の始点と終点の歴史的つながりや多様性をアジア史的視野のもとに解き明かすことで、国民史の克服を課題とする日本史学における渡来人研究の再構築を目指すものである。具体的な研究項目としては、①「帰化」「渡来」の用語の史料論的検討に基づく渡来人の定義の確定、②百済との比較からみた倭国における中国系渡来人と五経博士の特質の解明、③「帰化」の渡来人の移配政策の実態の解明、④渡来商人の活動地域の広がりの解明を設定している。
    ４カ年計画の初年度となる本年度は、①について大きな成果が得られた。「帰化人」「渡来人」の用語をめぐっては、『日本書紀』の「帰化」記事を史実として認めるか否かで、約半世紀の論争があるが、斉明紀以前については潤色とすべきことがほぼ実証できたと考える。また、史料の「渡来」は、「来」（マウク）を基本とする一般的な移動を示し、そこに多様な移動の契機が包含されうることも確認できた。これらの分析結果の詳細は、論文「『日本書紀』と「帰化」」（『古墳と古代国家形成期の諸問題』山川出版社、2019年10月)として公表した。②については、基礎的な史料収集と検討を終え、その成果の一部を、韓国において論文「倭王権における百済移住民の役割」(『日本の中の百済―本州・四国地域』忠清南道歴史文化研究院、2019年12月、韓国語翻訳)として公表した。③についても、律令期の「帰化人」の東国移配政策に関しては分析を終え、その一部を「律令制国家の政治・文化と渡来系移住民」（『シリーズ 古代をひらく 渡来系移住民』岩波書店、2020年3月）において論じた。④については、九州に分布する渡来商人との関連性が指摘される石塔の調査を鹿児島県と中国浙江省において実施し、これまで指摘されていない日本の薩摩塔と中国の石塔との類似点を複数確認できた。

    I conducted a comparative study on the relationship between ancient Japan (especially the Tohoku district) culture, the Hokkaido culture of the same era and the Ainu culture from the aspect of religion and ritual.In particular, we examined the distribution, form and function of metal products and wood products related to religion and ritual.
    The religious and ritual tools of the Ainu culture could point out the possibility that there is origin in the Satsumon era.
    Also, In ancient Hokkaido and its adjacent areas, it was possible to point out the tendency that religious and ritual traces are found in important places in trade and exchange.

    The achievement of the study is that on the basis of the actual materials, it revealed that the development of the writing culture of the ancient Japanese Archipelago was significantly influenced by the writing culture of the Korean Peninsula. In addition, the study involved close collaboration with three institutions in Korea including the National Museum of Korea, the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, and the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage. The study proceeded effectively with their full support. The mutual trust among the researchers of Japan and Korea built through the study should greatly contribute to future studies. Furthermore, the study led to the special exhibition of the National Museum of Japanese History titled “A Connection of Characters: The Japanese Archipelago and the Korean Peninsula in Ancient Times" in which the achievement of the study was presented to the general public in an accessible and comprehensible manner.

    2012 we were subjected to investigation of Zen temple in Korea. We conducted a research and recording of the inscription, was subjected to local researchers and exchange of opinions. 2013 - 2014, we have exploration Shanxi southern - Shaanxi Province in China. More specifically we investigate the Ennin’s root based on the "Nitto Guho Junrei Koki", was to restore the historical landscape and traffic path in the Tang Dynasty.
    At the end of fiscal 2014, and invited Japan, China and South Korea researchers, was held an international symposium. We have carried out and the confirmation of the latest research, the exchange of opinions with domestic and foreign researchers. In addition to published research results of 2012 - 2014 fiscal year. We are preparing to publish the results of this symposium as a book. Now, we are planning to be more widely published research results.

  • Comprehensive Study on the Development of the Writing Culture of the Ancient Japanese Archipelago

    The achievement of the study is that on the basis of the actual materials, it revealed that the development of the writing culture of the ancient Japanese Archipelago was significantly influenced by the writing culture of the Korean Peninsula. In addition, the study involved close collaboration with three institutions in Korea including the National Museum of Korea, the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, and the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage. The study proceeded effectively with their full support. The mutual trust among the researchers of Japan and Korea built through the study should greatly contribute to future studies. Furthermore, the study led to the special exhibition of the National Museum of Japanese History titled “A Connection of Characters: The Japanese Archipelago and the Korean Peninsula in Ancient Times" in which the achievement of the study was presented to the general public in an accessible and comprehensible manner

    In late years we performed materials discovered in Japan/Korea at the spot and watched and investigated those and performed the study that utilized those positively. Specifically, (1) we studied history of Japan and Korea interchange in the sixth century to elucidate significance of the history of a ancient Japanese tomb of a circular shape with a rectangular frontage discovered 10 several engines in Jeonra Nam Do of Korea and published result In addition, (2) we performed the tower trace of Okoji-temple discovered in Puyo of Korea in 2007 and the study about the exhumation remains and elucidated the spread about Buddhism and the associated technique concretely in the East Asia in 6-7 centuries.

    1)Investigation of Old Manuscripts of Nitto Guho Junrei Koki
    In 2001 and 2002,we checked out whereabouts of the old manuscripts of Nitto guho junrei koki. We located the copies in Toji kanchiin and Tuganeji, and investigated the publishment of its recensions, Japanese reading versions, and commentaries in Japan, Korea, and China.
    2)Recension and transliteration of Nitto Guho Junrei Koki, Vol 1.
    The recension and transliteration of Nitto guho junrei koki, vol.1 was completed. Regarding the recension, we elaborated each character in its text by referring to the Toji kanchiin copy, and compiled it into a database which enables cross-reference of characters. A database of its transliteration was also completed.
    3)Annotation of Nitto Guho Junrei Koki, Vol 1
    70% of the annotation for Volume 1 has been completed. In 2003,we made explorations into Shandong Peninsula, China, with the need of field perambulation on the process of annotating. As the result of the explorations, we detected errors of geographic names conventionally recorded, and also discovered spots that their names could be newly extrapolated.
    4)Compilation of Relevant Documents of Nitto Guho Junrei Koki
    Due to budgetary constraints, this project could not be conducted.
    5)Compilation of Relevant Bibliography of Nitto Guho Junrei Koki
    We completed to compile the relevant bibliography for Japanese publications. Regarding Chinese and Korean ones, we have not completed.
    6)Publishing Research Papers on Nitto Guho Junrei Koki
    Workshops were conducted on April 17 and September 18 in 2004, and each result will be published as a research paper in the Final Report.

    　本研究の目的は、古代の渡来人に関する研究を総体的・通史的に捉え直し、今日的課題に応えうる新たな渡来人論を、学界のみならず市民にも広く提起することである。　本研究が明らかにした主な点は以下のとおりである。①　古代史の帰化人・渡来人研究は近代の国民国家史と結びついて発展した。②　中華的な「帰化」は天智期に成立する。③　9世紀に中華の論理が非膨張型に転換し、「帰化」の意味も変質した。　また本研究の成果は、2018年12月2日開催のシンポジウム「古代百済郡の成立と高麗郡」(主催:一般社団法人 高麗1300、日本高麗浪漫学会)や『渡来人と帰化人』(角川選書、2019年2月)において示した。これらにより、本研究は当初の目的を達成できた。
