    　タイ国の初等・中等科学教育は科学を学習するためのスキルの習得を極めて重視していることが，本研究により示された．　特に，タイ国の小学校科学教育について，以下の３点があきらかとなった．１）　科学のプロセススキル（１４種類）と２１世紀スキル（６種類）が極めて明示的に定義され（スキルによっては限定的に要素化され），タイ国の教育省科学技術教育振興研究所から出版されている小学校教科書の全単元に，スキルの習得を目標とするアクティビティが設置されている（小学校教科書全体で，アクティビティの総数は約140）． ２）『観察』・『推論』・『解釈と結論』・『コミュニケーション』・『コラボレーション』スキルはそれぞれ全アクティビティの80％以上で取り上げられている．また，『データの整理と伝達』・『モデリング』・『クリティカル・シンキング』・『ICTの利用』スキルについては，それぞれ全アクティビティの20～50％で習得目標となっている．これらの９スキルは繰り返し学ぶべき対象となっている事が示唆される．『分類』・『予測』・『測定』・『空間と時間の関係』スキルについてはそれぞれ全アクティビティの10～20％で習得目標となっている．３）上記のように繰り返し取り上げられるスキルの他に，『創造性』・『変数の定義と制御』・『実験（検証）』・『運用定義』・『問題解決』・『数の利用』・『仮説設定』スキルがそれぞれ全アクティビティの10％未満で習得目標とされている．これらスキルは頻繁に学ぶべき対象とは言えないが，『変数の定義と制御』・『実験（検証）』・『運用定義』・『仮説設定』等は互いに関連付けられ詳細に取り扱われている．

  • タイ国科学教育カリキュラム改訂（2017年）の目指す科学教育改革の方向と現状

    タイ国科学教育の今後の方向性を明らかにするために、タイ国の科学学習科目群の改訂（2017年）内容を調査した。その結果、1）科学教育・学習の管理目標には科学教育だけでなく、テクノロジー教育の目標も導入されていること、２）科学学習科目群のコア学習コンテンツにはテクノロジー（「デザインとテクノロジー」と「ICT」）も取り入れられていること、３）テクノロジーには、科学・数学・その他の知識・スキル、コンピューテーショナルコンセプト、ＩＣＴによる問題解決等も含まれ高度化していることが明らかとなった。タイ国はテクノロジー教育を高度化し、同教育と科学教育を統合することによって、STEM教育を推進していることが示唆された。

    　タイ国の中学校科学教科書『วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี』（STT）と日本の典型的な5種類の中学校教科書（STJs）の物理分野の内容が比較された。STTとSTJsは、物理の６つのサブフィールド（光、波、力、運動、仕事とエネルギー、電気）をともに含んでいる。波を説明するための教材として、STTが力学的波を利用しているのに対して、STJsは音を利用していた。更に、STTはベクトルとしての変位や速度を詳細に説明しているのに対して、STJsは直線運動学に焦点を当てている。STTは幅広い物理の学習項目を取り上げる傾向がある一方、STJsは特定の項目（電流とその磁場との相互作用）に焦点を当てているようである。

  • タイ国の科学教育における『科学と技術の本質』

    （目的）　現在、多くの国々の教育関係部局において、イノベーティブ科学技術人材の育成が目標とされている。タイ国もまた、1990年頃から科学技術教育改革に力を入れ、科学教育と技術教育の一体化を目指すようになった。その結果、米国の理工系分野でのタイ人博士号取得者は221名（2015年）となった（同年・同分野での日本人博士号取得者は163名）。タイ国基礎教育コアカリキュラムは、科学技術による問題解決に重点を置いた「科学と技術の本質（ＮＯＳＴ）」という科学分野を設置しているが、その詳細はほとんど知られていない。本研究ではタイ国の科学教科書のＮＯＳＴに関連した記述を分析し、その基本的な考え方を明らかにする。（方法）タイ国の中学生向けの科学教科書「วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี」のＮＯＳＴに関連する内容を詳細に調査し、日本の理科教科書・技術教科書のＮＯＳＴ関連記述と比較することで、その特徴を明らかにする（結果・考察）　タイ国の中学科学教科書「วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี」にはNOSTに関する３つの学習単元が含まれており、それぞれ各学年の最初に配置されている。第１学年のNOST単元は、「科学の学び方」、第２学年は「科学の本質（ＮＯＳ）」、第３学年は「科学と問題解決」である。これらの３つの単元には、「科学のプロセス（ＳＰ）」・「ＮＯＳ」・「科学的マインド」・「工学的設計プロセス（ＰＥＤ）」に関する詳細な説明が含まれている。日本の中学理科・技術教科書には、ＳＰやＰＥＤに関する具体的で実践的な記述は含まれるものの、ＮＯＳＴに関する単元は存在しない。日本の中学科学教育と比較すると、タイ国のそれは科学・技術の意義・手法・概念を知識として明確に教えることを重視していると考えられる。

  • タイ国で実施されている先端的な科学教育改革に関する調査研究

    　タイ国においては、近年、科学教育と技術教育の統合を目的とした見直しが行われ、『วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี』(書名訳：基礎コース科学技術、2017年改訂)という中学校科学教科書が広く利用されるようになった。この教科書の内容を調査した結果、その教科書に取り上げられている領域とそのおよその割合は、「生物的領域（23％）」、「化学的領域（21%）」、「物理的領域（30％）」、「地学的領域（23％）」、「科学と技術の本質に関する領域（3％）」となっていて、近年のタイ国の中学校科学教育においては、物理的な内容が重視されるともに、科学と技術の概念・方法・プロセス・重要性を知識として明確に教育することに重点が置かれていることが明らかとなった。

  • 蛋白質以外の生体分子にモデルフリーメソッドを適用する方法の開発

    　モデルフリーメソッドは、タンパク質分子のドメイン解析を行なうために、基準振動解析から得られたデータを分析する方法である。本課題では、その方法を、タンパク質以外の分子に応用し、分子のクラスター構造の予測などに適用できるかを調べた。具体的には次のような手順で検討した。①有機色素と金属、ポリチオヘンと金属等について、予測される集合構造を設定する。②基準振動解析を行ない、回転ベクトルや、その相関を調べる。③実験データとの比較から、①の妥当性を検証する。④妥当とされた集合構造の電子状態を、分子軌道法によって調べる。⑤XPSやUPSの実験などから、計算で得られた電子構造の妥当性を調べる。　検討の結果、ポリチオヘンについては、低波数のドメイン構造を持つことが計算により予測され、その予測はすべての実験結果を合理的に解釈することを可能にした。しかしながら、有機色素や金属との集合体に関しては、必ずしも、良い結果を得られなかった。基準振動解析のパラメータ等に問題があると思われるので、金属と有機物の集合体を計算するために、より適当なパラメータを検討している。

  • 蛋白質及び蛋白質複合体のDYNAMICAL UNITを全基準モードから計算する方法の開発とその応用

    　蛋白質及び蛋白質複合体のDYNAMICAL UNITを全基準モードから推定するために、次のような手順で計算プログラムの開発を行ない、合理的な結果を得た。1、 FEDER２によるモデル蛋白質の基準振動解析　　モデル蛋白質について、FEDER２による基準振動解析を行ない、各基準モードにおける主鎖の原子の変位ベクトルを計算した。2、 １で得られた変位ベクトルを使って次のような物理量を得るためのプログラムを作製した。① 回転ベクトル② 回転ベクトル揺らぎ③ DYNAMICAL UNIT間の相互運動3、 ２の計算プログラムを使って、モデルalpha-Helixの回転ベクトル、回転ベクトル揺らぎ、DYNAMICAL UNIT間の相互運動を計算し、合理的な結果を得た。
