    2018年度は、夏と春に2回の全体会合を持った。第1回会合（8月20日）では、若手研究者を協力者として招き、「『罪と罰』におけるドイツのイメージ」、「1840年代における「現実」の探求─反省と直接性という観点から」の2報告がなされ、19世紀のロシアにおける西欧、とりわけドイツ語圏の思想的言説の役割をめぐって、活発な討議が行われた。第2回会合（3月28-29日）では、「19世紀ロシア正教会の対外関係とフィラレート（ドロズドフ）」、「隠された偶然――「運命論者」を中心とする『現代の英雄』論」、「聖山アトスの修道士パルフェーニーのロシア、モルダヴィア、トルコ、聖地遍歴と旅の物語」、「ノヴゴロツェフの法学に関する一考察」、「ロシア哲学史研究の最近の動向」の5つの報告がなされ、19世紀のロシア正教会と中近東を中心とする東方世界との外交関係の持つ文化史的意味や、ロマン主義時代の文学における主体と偶然性のテーマとその思想史的コンテクスト、古儀式派にかかわる物語文献の持つ文化史的役割、ロシア法思想における自然法の学説に与えたカントと新カント派の影響などについて、興味深い議論がくりひろげられた。代表者・分担者による関連研究業績としては、ソ連科学思想に関する著書1、欧文論文2本（カラムジン、チャアダーエフ、チュッチェフに関するもの）、日本語論文3本（古儀式派、人文科学方法論に関するものなど）、学会発表等6本を数え、またバフチンの未邦訳草稿の翻訳と解説なども市販の雑誌に掲載された。研究代表者および各分担者が、「超越性」と「生」の接続というテーマをそれぞれ多角的に追究し、2回の全体会合や、国内外の学会等での個別の研究発表、論文集や学術雑誌への投稿、さらに商業雑誌やネット配信などを通して、数多くの成果を世に出し、広く社会に還元することができたといえる。具体的には、代表者、分担者による関連論文や解説が10本程度、内外の学会発表、講演、インターネットでの配信などによる関連テーマの成果発信が11回ほどあり、2年目の成果としてはまずまずのものであろうと考えられる。また2回の全体会合での報告と長時間にわたる討議によって、メンバーのあいだでの問題意識の共有もより確かなものになった。さらに、全体会合では、博士学位取得直後の若手研究者や周辺領域の専門家にも積極的に参加してもらうように心がけ、次年度以降の研究の層をより厚くし、ロシアの思想史を、ジェンダー論や批評理論、メディア理論、イメージ論等の新たな見地から再考するための努力もおこなってきた。こうした努力の結果、本研究会は、国内のロシア思想史関係の研究会のなかでも、最も多彩で幅広く有能な人材が集まったもののひとつへと成長してきた。こうした状況を考慮すれば、本研究課題の進捗状況は、目下のところおおむね順調というべきである。今後もこれまでの方法を継続し、参加メンバーによる基礎資料収集、資料読解をもとにした個別的研究をさらに推し進め、各種学会、学術誌、著書、講演、配信等による成果の公開を心がけるともに、年2回の全体会合をつうじて、個別的研究の成果を本研究の大きなパースペクティヴのなかに位置づけて共有し、ロシア思想史の批判的再構築に向けた議論を活性化して、ロシア思想研究の新たな視点や枠組みの獲得を目指したい。また、引き続き研究協力者として有能な若手研究者を発掘し、カバーする分野を広げるとともに、新たな方法論や隣接領域との協力をさらに推し進めていく。資料調査では、海外（主にロシア、フィンランド等）における一次資料収集を中心とし、また、ロシア、ポーランド等で定期的に開催される思想史系の国際学会への参加も継続する。こうした海外における活動のなかで知遇を得た海外の専門家にも情報提供者やアドバイザーとして参加していただき、都合がつけば日本への招聘や、講演、国際シンポジウム、ワークショップなどの開催、論文の寄稿などを今後企画・検討する。さらに、本研究で得られたロシア思想史の再構築の大きな成果を広く社会や学界に還元するために、論集の刊行を企画する。本研究の研究代表者、研究分担者はすでに、本研究のテーマにかかわる多くの優れた業績を蓄積しており、これらを従来の思想史研究の批判的再構築というまとまったコンセプトのもとにまとめて刊行すれば、我が国におけるロシア思想史研究の水準や風景は、多くの点で刷新されるのではないかと考えられる。今後はまず、これまでに蓄積された論文等の業績を編集することで、第一論集の編集・刊行をめざし、将来的にはこの後さらに4年のあいだに蓄積されるであろう業績を吟味して編集し、第二論集、第三論集の編集・刊行も企画し、ロシア思想史研究再構築の新たな流れを作り出していきたい

    The research project "Structuring Russian Culturology: An Approach on the International Research Cooperation" is focused on Russian culturology or cultural studies, which plays an important role in Russian Studies especially after the collapse of Soviet Union. Focusing on literature, arts, philosophy and religion, we did a research in characteristic of Russian culture.Pursuing the project, we made a point of developing and diversifying the research relationship with internatinal researchers and institutions. We succeeded in making a network with researchers and institutions not only of Moscow and Petersburg, but also of Siberia and Far East Russia, Former Sovies countries (Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan), East Europe (Serbia), East Asia (South Korea, Taiwan). This network has made it possible for us to publish two international books on Russian culture, the results of many international seminars we organized in the course of the project

    The collapse of the Soviet Union was a world-historical event which put an end to the Cold War started after World War II and accelerated the flow of globalization. In this study we researched how and with what historical consciousness the writers and artists of the former Soviet Union developed their activities and demonstrated their creativity, and elucidated the meaning of Stalinism, concealed in the depth of their works, created during the 50 years from the “Thaw period” to the present. We also clarified how widely the mental damage done to both peoples in the era of Stalin is tied with today’s Russian-Ukrainian conflict

    This project has a main purpose of investigating several aspects of "Russian Culturology" which seems to play an important role in Russian society these years. We have got such results: (1) we edited a book "The Ark of Russian Culture: 20 years After the Dissolution of the Soviet Union" (Tokyo, 2011) where we analyzed the changes of Russian culture after the Soviet Union in many fields; (2) we edited a book "What was the Soviet Literature?" (Saitama, 2011) in which we discussed the history and role of Soviet literature and how we should read the subgenre which was gone. (3) we edited a book "Rethinking on Russian Formalism" (Tokyo, 2012) where we are engaged with rethinking on Russian Formalist movement which played a dictinctive role in Russian literature and culture in the twentieth century. (4) we organized two international seminars on Russian literature and culture (2011 and 2012, Tokyo). This project continues after the project with many results (a co-authored paper and a book)

    The purpose of this study was to explore and characterize the big changes which had occurred in the field of literary production in Russia from the second half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, especially from the viewpoint of its close relationship with the appearance of new types of media and technology in the field of culture, and also with the remarkable progress in the psychological and philosophical theories of perception.As a result of the study we found out that the appearance of the new waves of literary theories at the beginning of the 20th century such as Russian Formalism was very closely tied with the popularization of cinematograph, and it also was strongly stimulated by the psychological and philosophical theories of perception, especially by Bundt, Bergson, Husserl, Sesemann, Shpet et al

    It is the aim of this study to reconstruct the Russian modern cultural history of the 19th - 20th century from the perspective of Russian Platonism. As a result of this research it became clear that under the influence of Western anti-positivist thinkers the Russian thinkers of the beginning of 20 century uniquely processed western established approaches or framework in different ways, for example by displacement and replacement of them, or anticipated them rather than simply accepted them. And this study found that there was affluent prehistory of perceptions of Platonism in the first half of 19 century in Russia. Generally speaking, as a result of this study it became clear that the framework of the Russian Platonism is an important thread of guidance in order to reconsider the works of thinkers who have hitherto been difficult to understand within the established schematic understanding of intellectual and cultural history of Russia in the 19th -20th centuries.

    In terms of the self-representations of the contemporary Russian culture the project has had its main concerns to the following four areas : (1) Russian nationalism, (2) the mass culture, (3) the Orthodox thoughts, (4) the social functions of literature. The project held the periodical seminars specialized in those topics and made several important domestic and international publications. As far as the concrete topics of research are concerned, the project chose the following topics : the role of culturology in Russia, the animation films, the contemporary image of the Orthodox saints and so on. It is considered that the project has made an analysis of the diversity and the main typology of the self-representations of the contemporary Russia

    This project made a reconsideration of the cultural theory and practices of Russian Formalism from the perspective of the new paradigms of studies of Russian and Soviet culture. The traditional understanding of Russian Formalism as a harbinger of Structuralism is replaced by a much wider scope of studies of cultural areas in which Russian Formalists are thought to have played a pioneering role from 1920s through 1930s.Nonaka made a comparison of the central figure of the Formalism Yuri Tynyanov and an English critic IA Richards in terms of poetic semantics. One can see Tynyanov's project of the semantics of poetic language against the background of the trends of the general semantics which were prosperous in the first half of the century.Kaizawa made a methodological discussion on the way of reconsidering Russian Formalism. What he underlines as the new paradigms of understanding Formalism is: the tradition of Russian philosophy of language, the development of mass media in the end of the nineteenth and in the beginning of the twentieth century in Russia, and the theory of cognition which made a rapid. Development in the same period.Hasegawa discusses the implications of Russian Formalism for cinema studies. He clearly shows a certain correspondence of the Formalist theory of film and the development of Soviet films.Nakamura make a theoretical analysis of Formalism in terms of the problem of "others." Concretely, be made a comparison of them and Mikhail Bakhtin.Takahashi approaches the subject from the viewpoint of musicology. Especially, he works on Nikolai Metner whose understanding of art makes a sharp contrast with that of Formalist.Takeda works on the theme of Formalism and the Russian emigrant writers. Namely, he treats the dispute between the Russian Formalists and an emigrant poet Vladislav Khodasevich on Aleksandr Pushkin.Generally, this project made a definition of the immense fields of the Formalist movement which also lead to a reconsideration of the twentieth Russian literature and culture

    Aim of this study is to observe the process of great change which had happened in literature and literary production in Russia from the second half of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century and also to investigate the influences it had on the formation of the concept of national literature in Russia and the very forms of literary production.For this purpose we will set three important points of view, from which we can approach to our aim more directly and easily : l) Changes in the academic study of literature, 2) Changes in the school education of literature, 3) Changes in the publishing, journalism and reading behavior in-the masses.From the point of view of the changes in the academic study of literature, we have already made it clear that the newly introduced in the mid 19th century study of the history of Russian literature had played very important role in the mass consumption and the formation the concept of literature.From the point of view of the changes in the school education of literature in Russia at that time we find that the program of literary education in late Imperial Russia have been very closely tied with the beginning of mass consumption of literature in Russia and the role of modern Russian literature as a national value that could prove the existence of Russian national identity.As far as the changes in the publishing, journalism and reading behavior in the masses are concerned, we could demonstrate haw the process of mass production and consumption of literature by the masses had occurred in the late Imperial Russia and we also made it clear that without this change it could never be possible that the 19th century modern Russian literature had been the most important value in Russian national identity and at the same time it had been evaluated highly valuable in the West at the late 19th and the beginning of 20th century

    We studied major products of Russian postmodernism in various genres (prose, poetry, criticism, the ater, art, movie and so on), and characterized them according to the following points : 1) To what extent the postmodernist thought and its specific creational styles are prevalent in contemporary Russia? 2) What is the specificity of Russian postmodernism in comparison with that in other regions of the world? 3) What is the relation between Russia's new culture in the 90s and the legacy of pre-revolutionary culture, as well as the Soviet culture? 4) What kind of role does postmodernism play for the expression of Russias' cultural self-identity?As a result we came to the conclusion that Russian postmodernism is by no means mere import of the European trend, but has its root in Russia's cultural history. This is why postmodernism functions in contemporary Russia not only as a vehicle of anti-soviet, anti-communist movement but also as a unique mediator for all cultural modes of the 19th and 20th centuries.We also organized a symposium "Russian Culture on the Threshold of a New Century" (12-15 July, 2000, Slavic Research Center) for the pursuit of international conversation on this topic.     　本研究は、2010年度～2013年度の科研費基盤（B）「近代ロシア・プラトニズムの総合的研究」（代表者：杉浦秀一）の成果を受け継ぎ、近代ロシア思想史においてプラトンとギリシャ文化が果たした大きな役割を多角的に究明しようとするもので、世界的にもこれほど広範囲な領域の共同研究は例がなく、これまでにも文集を3冊刊行するなど一定の評価を得てきた。　今年度は、19-20世紀のロシア思想や神学におけるプラトン哲学とギリシャ文化の影響を、フィラレート、ナジェージヂン、チュッチェフ、ソロヴィヨフ、セルゲイ・ブルガーコフ、バフチンらの思想や文化理論のなかに探り、2016年3月2-3日、早稲田大学にて、杉浦秀一（北海道大学）、根村亮（新潟工科大）、兎内勇津流（北海道大学）、下里俊行（上越教育大学）、北見諭（神戸市外国語大学）、坂庭淳史（早稲田大学）、望月哲男（北海道大学）、金山浩司（北海道大学）を招いて研究会を開催した。

    　本研究は、19世紀後半から20世紀初頭のロシアにおける文学の生産・消費のありかたの変化を、その社会的な制度とそれを支える理念の観点から考察するものである。　本年度はおもに、文学教育、出版・ジャーナリズム、文学研究の三つの観点からこの時代の文学の制度にかんする一次資料および二次文献の収集と読解を継続するとともに、その理念的なバックボーンとなる、言語・文学理論にかんする研究をおこない、20世紀初頭の思想家アレクセイ・ローセフとグスタフ・シペートの言語思想や解釈学について成果発表を行って、文学の根底にある言葉の社会的役割の大きな変化の一端を明らかにした。

  • １９世紀後半から２０世紀前半のロシアにおける文学生産の場と視覚・聴覚メディア

    　本研究では、おもに19世紀末から20世紀初頭のロシア・ソヴィエトにおける文学生産の場の変化と視覚・聴覚メディアとの関係を多角的に捉えることを目的とし、具体的につぎのような三つの目標を設定した。　①視聴覚メディア史、視聴覚メディア理論に関する資料収集とその読解、整理　②当該時期のロシア・ソヴィエトに関する視聴覚メディアに関する資料、文学とメディアの関係に関する研究等の資料収集と読解　③ロシア・ソヴィエトの文学・文化史的コンテクストのなかで視聴覚メディアが果たした役割の研究　このうち、①に関しては、ジョナサン・クレーリー、ジョナサン・スターン、吉見俊哉などの研究が、ロシア研究においても参考になる重要な研究であることを確認し、また最近のロシアで出ているこうしたテーマの研究を大量に入手することができた。またロシアで流行したデンマークの美学者クリスチアンゼンの当時のロシア語訳をモスクワで探索し入手することができた。　②については、当該時期のロシアの美学、心理学、生理学、知覚理論に関する基本的文献の探索をおこない、当時の心理学・知覚理論が、文芸理論に大きな影響を与えていることを確認した。なかでもロシア・フォルマリズムに関するスヴェトリコワの研究はきわめて重要であり、いわゆる「心理学主義」が当時の文化・思想に与えた影響の大きさを再認識させられた。また当時の反心理学的な美学者ワシーリイ・セゼマンについて集中的に資料収集をおこない、モスクワやプラハ、ベルリンから、入手困難な資料を収集することができた。セゼマンについては、ロシア・フォルマリズム研究会（埼玉大、野中進主催）で報告を行った。　③については、上記①②で収集した資料をもとに、ワシーリイ・セゼマンの研究報告（論文集に収録予定）をおこなったほか、今年度の演劇博物館紀要に論文「スターリン期ソ連文化におけるジェンダー表象――映画、美術における女性イメージ」と題して、ソ連初期文化のメディア横断的な特徴の一端をジェンダー表象の観点から素描した。また東京国立近代美術館フィルムセンターで、3月21日にギャラリートーク「ソヴィエト初期の映画ポスター：スタイルの変遷と文化史的コンテクスト」を行った。

  • １９世紀後半から２０世紀初期ロシアにおける文学生産の場の社会史的研究

    　本年度の研究実績としては、おもに19世紀後半から20世紀初期ロシアにおける、普通義務ギムナジアでの文学教育カリキュラムおよび教育制度改革にかんする調査をおこない、また教育関係者、文学研究者、政府、言論界における文学教育に関する言説についての資料収集、調査をおこなった。それによって、この時期にロシアの教育界、言論界で、文学の歴史的教育の必要性が次第に叫ばれるようになったこと、そしてその背景に、文学によるナショナリズムの涵養や文学そのものの一般への普及があることが裏付けられた。この結果は原稿用紙約120枚の論文としてまとめ、北海道大学スラブ研究センターの学術誌「スラヴ研究」に投稿し、すでに原稿審査をパスして掲載が決定している（2006年5月刊行予定）。　また、同じ時代の読書史、読者研究、出版・ジャーナリズム史にかんする資料収集を開始し、この時代に文学が実際にどう読まれていたのか、あるいは人々にどのような文学を読ませようとしていたのか、といった問題について検討をはじめた。とくに19世紀末に多数現れた民衆読書の研究にかんする資料を精力的に集め、ルバーキン、アルチェフスカヤ、プルガーヴィン、アン-スキイら、ナロードニキ運動以後の主要な読書研究に関する資料を入手し、労働者や農民の読書行動と、そうした民衆に古典文学を読ませるためのさまざまな研究について検討した。現在さらなる資料収集、読解と、その結果の整理を行っている。

  • 19世紀末－20世紀初頭のロシアにおける文学生産の場の変容

    　本研究においては、19世紀末－20世紀初頭のロシアにおける文学生産の場の変容を、主に次の三つの観点から検討した。　第一に、この時代の出版・ジャーナリズムの急激な変化が文学のあり方に及ぼした影響を考察すること。第二に、ロシアの初等・高等教育機関における文学教育の変化と、その背後にある「文学」という理念の変容をさぐること、第三に、ロシア文学史研究の形成過程を検討することで、「ロシア国民文学」という理念のもとに文学が編成されていく過程をあとづけることである。　第一の点に関しては、ロシアでは1870年代以降、識字率の上昇、教育の普及に伴い、出版ジャーナリズムの構造が変質し、文学のメディアは月刊総合雑誌から大量出版のイラスト誌へと移行し、また読者層の拡大と巨大な出版産業の出現によって、安価な文学全集が急速に普及した。これに伴って文学は、不特定の読者を対象とするものと、一部の読者に対象を限定したものに分裂し、既成の文学ジャンルはその構造を変質させた。　第二の点では、ロシアでは19世紀前半まで通用していた修辞学が徐々に学校教育から排除され、実証主義や進歩思想を背景にして、歴史的・進化的な文学理解が普及するとともに、国民的な価値としての「文学史」が教えられるようになった。文学はこうして、共時的な詩作法・雄弁術であることをやめ、ロシア国民の歴史を反映する鏡となった。　第三の点では、上記のことと関連して、ロシアでは19世紀後半、特に1860年代以後に、ロシア文学研究の大きな転換があり、修辞学の研究が実証的な文学史研究にとってかわり、プイピンらの研究者によって完成された「ロシア文学史」は文学のみならず、ロシアの民族、国家、社会の起源と歴史を支えるおおきな物語として機能することになった。
