    本研究は、教育装置としての『源氏物語』を眼目に置き、『源氏物語』の本文書写および古注釈と近世における『源氏物語』俗語訳を中心対象とし、中世から近世にかけて、『源氏物語』が教育装置としてどのような役割を果たしたかについての実態を具体的に考察するものである。
    本年は、「Cultural Commerce Between Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Kaoku Gyokuei」と題して、16th International Conference of the European Association for Japanese Studiesにおいて、豊臣秀吉は、『源氏物語』を通じて、花屋玉栄という女性の比丘尼と、ちやあという女性と関わりを持つ。それは豊臣秀吉にとってどのような意味があったかについて考察し、発表した。概要は以下の通りである。
    豊臣秀吉は、本（『天正記』）というメディアを意識的に利用し、創られた秀吉像を流布していた。その秀吉が『源氏物語』と関わった記録は案外少なく、しかもどちらも天正十五年に関わるものであった。『兼見卿記』に記載される豊臣秀吉依頼諸卿寄合書『源氏物語』は近衛家が主導しているようであるし、蜂須賀家旧蔵『源氏物語のおこり』も、近衛家の女性たちが関わっている。どちらも秀吉が猶子となった近衛家が関わっており、これら『源氏物語』も、近衛家の学問の継承者としての自分を演出し、権威向上の意図があったようである。秀吉が権力を掌握するために貴族たちを利用した一方で、貴族たちも秀吉と関わることで、自らの価値を向上させていく。秀吉が依頼した書写者の輪に入れなかった兼見は、自らの価値の向上する機会を逸したことであわてふためき、秀吉が書写をした『源氏物語のおこり』に関わった花屋玉栄は、その後、『源氏物語』の注釈書などを自分の名前が入った形で作成していく。つまり、兼見の価値は相対的に下がり、玉栄の価値は上がっているわけである。

    We studied the Kurokawas old storehouse document.The person of Kurokawa is 3s,Harumura,Mayori,Mamichi.They are a scholar of ancient Japanese thought and book collectors,from the last part of Edo era through the Meiji era. We investigated the old classical books which Notre Dame Seishin University possessed. The Kurokawas possessed those books. We investigated a bibliography matter in detail, and revised the result. We maintain the data which we collected, and we comprise it for the future exhibition.

    The present project was structured around the two pillars of research involving the study of ancient commentaries on Genji monogatari and the study of modern-era reception of Heian literature.
    The first portion centered on the transcription of the Chosan kikigaki, a hitherto un-transcribed yet significant commentary. As a result of this concentrated effort, a quarter of this massive work was transcribed and sent to the press, with its first draft now completely proofread and slated for eventual publication. The research group activities additionally saw to the examination of other un-transcribed ancient commentaries.
    The latter half of the project then furthered investigation into Fujioka Sakutaro, and the national Japanese literature in its early days, subsequently producing two papers. A single-author monograph on Fujioka is likewise in the works now. What's more, it also entailed discussions regarding the adaptations of Genji monogatari penned by modern-era writers.

    The main points of this research are the following 3 items: (1) Research on the text of 'The Tale of Genji' and ancient commentaries, (2) Research on the vernacular translation of 'The Tale of Genji' in the early-modern times, and (3) Research on the surrounding works of 'The Tale of Genji'.
    As for (1), an old commentary on 'The Tale of Genji' written by Gyokuei KAOKU, a female classical scholar in the Sengoku period, is scheduled to be reprinted and published in cooperation with several researchers, and the complete reprint has already been completed, and the confirmation of the reprint and the writing of an annotated edition are in progress. With regard to (2), two presentations were made at international conferences. I will also publish a study on the vernacular translation of 'The Tale of Genji'. As for (3), we planned an exhibition and made a pamphlet. I also published two academic presentations and two papers.

    It aimed to elucidate aspects of collections, litecopying activities and collection formation / arrangement by the Kujo family in the early modern era, and to clarify the actual state of the Kujo family books from the Middle Ages to the early modern times I did research.
    In the early period of the Edo era, the formation of bookcollection carried out by Kujo Michifusa who was Kujo house family head for the past years was clarified from existing literature.
    At the same time, to trace the roots of those books, we traced back to the writing relationship, revealed the way of the book group which was copied from the Kujo family collection and changed. Since the Taisho period these collections of the Kujo family, including the runoff to the street, are scattered away from the Kujo family and are kept in the Each research institution, but as far as possible we are tracked I revealed the location.

    This research is directed to various versions of "Tale of Genji" and acceptances of "The Tale of Genji". More specifically, this research is about situation of various versions of "Tale of Genji" in through the early modern period from the Middle Ages, and is about reality of acceptances of "The Tale of Genji".This research centered on the theme of the following two points.(1) The research about various versions of "Tale of Genji". (2) The research about acceptances of "The Tale of Genji"
    (1)For, through the publication of one of the conference presentation and one of the paper, I pointed out the problems of Oshimabon and Myouyubon that have been the best book about "Tale of Genji" until now, and was organized for Teikabon "Tale of Genji".(2)For , through the publication of three conference presentations and one of the paper, I researched for the commentary, and discussed about acceptance of the "Tale of Genji" in the early modern period.

    I have conducted research on old commentaries of Genji monogatari, and on various receptions of Heian Literature. Especially, we have investigated and reprinted Chosan Kikigaki which is in Yomei Bunko's possession. Additionally, we have reprinted Genji monogatari-chu which is in Waseda University Library's possession, and so on.
    On the other hand, we compiled a collection of papers on receptions in Europe and America. And I have investigated old commentaries of Ise monogatari, different texts in Makura no Soshi, and reception of Genji monogatari in modern novels.

    I did investigation about the "Tale of Genji" text and notes, and maintenance and research of acceptance data.Research was done from a viewpoint of changes and its acceptance of the text.It went also across the technique and the candidate for consideration variably. I took notice of picturization and cartooning of the "Tale of Genji" in A.D. 2010.And in Brazil, I performed the announcement about it, and the lecture.Then, I wrote the paper about picturization and cartooning of the "Tale of Genji." I continued publication of "MASAMUNE Atsuo collection Zenpon series" in A.D. 2011. Moreover, I newly started investigation of the "OKUIRI" which is old notes of the "Tale of Genji." And I wrote two papers about it.I continued publication of " MASAMUNE Atsuo collection Zenpon series " also in A.D. 2012. Moreover, I also continued investigation"OKUIRI" which is old notes of the "Tale of Genji." Furthermore, I wrote the paper which caught the change of the interpretation in the time about "Tale of Genji" old notes.In addition, about the "Pillow Book", although I advanced notes of the MAEDAKEBON "Pillow Book", I did not result in publication.

    We investigated rare books of the Kurowaka collection, and we discussed and studied the formation process of layer of intellectuals and knowledge circulation of Edo period. Concretely, we researched individually on the books from court nobles in the collection of books of the Kurokawa family, and investigated the circulation process of the head note recorded on the books written by Kokugaku scholars, and studied the relation between system of politics in Edo period and the formation process of book collection. We tried to submit new image of intelligentsia in Edo period through the analysis on the formation process of rare book collection of Kurokawa family.

    The initial object of this research program was to ascertain how the transcription of classical texts was affected by the environment (practical conditions) within which transcription actually took place. With this in mind, specific texts were selected and studied in regard to the condition of their transcription, their status as classical texts, bibliographical questions, and other factors correlating to the environment of their transcription.
    In the course of this research, several new manuscripts unexpectedly came to light, many of them holographs and, in some cases, unique exemplars, all of very great scholarly significance. The above materials and research results were reported, within the framework of the aforementioned research program, in public conference presentations and publications.

    平成19年度は、18年度までに取集できなかった資料の収集と、これまでの研究成果の発表を行った。
    『源氏物語』本文としては、保坂本『源氏物語』や大島本『源氏物語』を入手した。また、『源氏物語』関係の研究所や古注釈書も購入した。
    研究論文としては、了俊筆『源氏物語』が古筆家周辺によって改装されていたことを明らかにした後、注記の性格について考察した「今川了俊筆『源氏物語』について-注記の性格と古筆家の改装-」(国語国文76-8)、『源氏物語』「空蝉」巻諸本を、従来の文献学的手法とコンピュータプログラムを併用して分類、考察した「『源氏物語』諸本分類試案-「空蝉」巻から見える問題-」(国語と国文学84-10)、今川了俊筆伊予切夕顔巻の本文系統をコンピュータプログラムと、従来の文献的手法によって解析した「中世における源氏物語の本文-了俊筆伊予切「夕顔」巻の本文系統-」(『講座源氏物語研究』第九巻おうふう)が公刊された。
    また、『源氏物語』の写本の歴史を概説した上で、文献学における新たな手法を紹介した「源氏物語一定家本と河内本の相剋」、(國文學平成十九年八月臨時増刊号)も公刊された。
    さらに、翻刻が公刊されていない、陽明文庫蔵『長珊聞書』の翻刻に、他の研究者とともに取り組み、順次公表予定となっている。

  • 中世の古典受容に関する研究

    本研究では、中世の古典受容を主な研究対象とする。中世は、説話文学、随筆文学、軍記文学、和歌文学などが花開いた時代でもあるが、一方で、中古に達成された『古今和歌集』『伊勢物語』『源氏物語』などの公家の文化を継承し受容していく時代でもあった。そのような中古文学の受容が、新たな文学を生み出す原動力ともなっていったのである。本研究では、中世公家の日記を調査し、その中に見られる女性たちの古典受容を詳しく見ていった。具体的には、安土桃山時代の公家の山科言経による日記である『言経卿記』を調査し、女性たちの古典享受を整理した。実際に女性たちがどのように古典を享受し、学習していたかは、非常にわかりにくい。しかし、『言経卿記』には、多くの女性たちのいきいきとした古典受容が記載される。古典作品ごとの受容の様子や、どのような古典作品が記載されているか、『源氏物語』やその注釈書類はどの程度の量含まれるか、など、項目ごとに整理していき、女性たちの古典受容の実態の一端が明らかとなった。

  • 『源氏物語』周辺文化の形成に関する研究

    本年は豊臣秀吉とその周辺の女性たちが『源氏物語』や古典とどのように関わっているかについて調査を行った。まず兼見卿記天正15年12月19日条に、秀吉が諸卿へ『源氏物語』を依頼している記事が載る。この記事について調査・考察した。豊臣秀吉と関わる『源氏物語』のもう1点が『源氏物語のおこり』である。これはちやあという女性と、慶福院花屋玉栄と、秀吉が関わっている作品である。慶福院花屋玉栄とちやあは、どちらも近衛家の女性であり、伯母と姪の関係であることになる。そこには、近衛家の文化の継承者、貴族文化の庇護者としての自分のアピールという意味が含まれていよう。

    鎌倉時代書写の新出「若紫」巻を検討し、本文および『奥入』の特徴からも定家監督書写本であることを明らかにし、さらに巻末付載『奥入』が本文と別筆であること、新出本『奥入』の部分を脱落させたものが大島本『奥入』であることを明らかにした。また、中世王朝物語については、『我が身にたどる姫君』や『恋路ゆかしき大将』についての調査を進め、さらに、『我が身にたどる姫君』の成立過程を再考、巻六は、後に別作者によって補われた可能性の高いこと、『風葉和歌集』成立時に巻四まで成立しており、その後巻五以下が成立し、作者も異にする可能性が高いことを明らかにした。

    本研究は、『源氏物語』の享受資料、海外における古典籍および日本古典研究を対象とし、書誌学・文献学的操作と資料調査を通して、流通状況や、古典受容の実態を具体的に記述しようと試みるものである。本年度は、ブリティッシュコロンビア大学所蔵の古典籍を調査した。また、ブリティッシュコロンビア大学で、「旅する古典」と題して、さまざまな研究者を呼び、ワークショップを開いた。さらに、俗語訳『源氏物語』についての研究書を刊行し、『源氏物語』周辺作品としての中世王朝物語について研究を進めた。また、定家本の発見として話題になった新出「若紫」についてのシンポジウムも、中止になったものの、座談会として開催され、出席した。

  • 前田家本『枕草子』に関する研究

    前田家本『枕草子』を中心に研究を行う。『枕草子』は諸本により本文が相当異なるが、今回研究対象とする前田家本は類纂本で、堺本と能因本をつなぎ合わせた本文であるとされる。そのため、『枕草子』諸本の中でもっとも古い鎌倉期書写であるにも関わらず、従来ほとんど顧みられてこなかった。本研究では、前田家本の正確な翻刻、注釈、訳を付した注釈書を作成し、他系統との校異を見、鎌倉時代に享受・編纂された『枕草子』としての前田家本についての考察を深めることを目的とする。今年度は、資料収集を中心に行い、注釈を付し始めた。

  • 古典文学の本文と享受に関する研究

    初期の『源氏物語』注釈書である定家作『奥入』は、『源氏物語』写本の巻末に付載されていることも多い。その巻末付載『奥入』について、「池田本『源氏物語』巻末付載『奥入』について」（天理図書館報『ビブリア』144号2015年10月）で、池田本巻末付載『奥入』について考察した上で、『奥入』諸本全般の見通しを立てた。　また、従来、大島本・明融本が、『源氏物語』最善本と言われてきた。これらを精査するため、中古文学会関西部会第39回例会シンポジウム「源氏物語　本文研究の可能性」で行った発表「定家本『源氏物語』の諸問題―大島本と明融本の比較から見えるもの―」（2014年11月）の論文化にもつとめた。
