柴思原は、早稲田大学政治経済学術院の助手である。専門分野は政治社会学、比較政治学、世論研究であり、主な研究手法としてサーベイ分析を用いている。研究対象地域は東アジアである。国際的なサーベイデータを用い、東アジア社会において脱物質主義的価値観、家族およびジェンダーに対する意識、環境問題への関心、移民に対する感情が、時間の経過とともにどのように変化し、人口学的変数といかに関連しているのかを分析している。
Peter Chai is a Research Associate at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University. His research areas are political sociology, comparative politics, and public opinion. His research methodology is survey analysis, and his regional focus is East Asia. He uses transnational survey data to investigate how postmaterialist values, attitudes toward family and gender, concern for the environment, and sentiments toward immigrants change over time and relate to demographic variables across East Asian societies.
