Internal Special Research Projects

  • インターセクショナルなフェミニスト美学：日本の美学をふまえて

    　本研究は、フェミニスト美学を新たな角度から論じることを目指したものである。フェミニスト美学とは、伝統的な美学理論をジェンダーの観点から批判的に再検討し、美学の概念や理論に男性優位な構造を指摘するものである。これまでのフェミニスト美学のアプローチは、ジェンダーに重点を置くあまり、中産階級以上の白人女性以外を周縁化し、そのほかの人種や階級、セクシュアリティといった交差するさまざまなカテゴリーを十分に検討できていないという問題点があった。そこで本研究では、こうした背景に対抗するために、どのように非欧米圏の観点からフェミニスト美学の理論を語ることができるのか、日本の美学の理論をふまえて考察した。　本研究の成果はつぎの三点である。　第一に、7月に開催された早稲田大学春季研究発表会での研究発表において、フェミニスト美学の主要論点である「天才」概念の批判をまとめ、そこから導き出される「新たな女性の天才概念の構築」が内包する問題点を指摘した。これにより、インターセクショナルな議論の必要性を明示できた。　第二に、8月にイタリア・ローマで開催された国際学会での研究発表において、フェミニスト美学の議論で語られてこなかった日本の「みやび」概念の分析をおこなった。これにより、これまでのフェミニスト美学のアプローチにおいて用いられてきた男性性・女性性の二項対立構造に新たな視点をもたらすことができた。　第三に、3月におこなわれた国際ワークショップでの研究発表において、これまでのフェミニスト美学の西欧中心的な構造がもたらす問題点を精査し、今後の課題を検討した。これにより、フェミニズムがこれまで批判していた中心からの周縁化の構造がそのままフェミニズムの理論にも見出せることを指摘し、ジェンダーを語る際には、人種問題やそのほかの差別の問題との複合性を十分にふまえる必要性があることを示すことができた。
