The Audio-Visual Documentation Section of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage continues the work of sorting out black and white photographs taken by Umemura Yutaka (1923.6.15 - 2007.6.5) that were endowed to the Department in fiscal year 2007. Tsuchida Makiko, the present author's predecessor two generations ago, introduced an outline of the entire collection and a list of monochrome photographs of kabuki stages taken in the early 1950s in "Report on Kabuki Photographs Taken by Umemura Yutaka" in volume 3 of the present bulletin. Kaneko Takeshi, Tsuchida's successor, introduced a list of additional photographs taken in the early 1950s and those taken in the latter half of the 1950s in "Report on Kabuki Photographs Taken by Umemura Yutaka (2)" in volume 4 and a list of photographs taken between 1965 and 1975 in "Report on Kabuki Photographs Taken by Umemura Yutaka (3)" in volume 5. During fiscal year 2012, black-and-white photographs taken between December 1981 and November 2003 which had not yet been sorted out, a total of 11,225 black-and-white photograph (including 5 whose date of photographing is unknown), were sorted. As a result, the total number of black-and-white photographs taken by Umemura Yutaka and endowed to the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage is now 95,890. In this bulletin, a list of additional photographs from the late 1950s to the early 1970s that have been sorted and 597 black-and-white photographs of kabuki stages taken in January 1975. The Department will continue to sort endowed materials of Umemura Yutaka chronologically and to preserve them.

最盛期義太夫節浄瑠璃作品の、古浄瑠璃時代から現代まで続く浄瑠璃史のみならず、日本文学・文化史上への、新たな位置付けを実現すること、またその研究成果を国内および国際学会等で発信することを目指した。今期は、これまで刊行した翻刻作品52作品に加えて、玉川大学出版部より、『義太夫節浄瑠璃未翻刻作品集成』第6期として、以下の10作品の刊行をすることができた。それぞれ、梗概とともに、翻刻にあたっての諸本調査を踏まえた詳細な書誌情報、宝暦年間までの浄瑠璃作品年表を付した上での翻刻を行なった。
『傾情山姥都歳玉』（享保１８,辰松座）、『敵討襤褸錦』（元文１,竹本座）、『茜染野中の隠井』（元文３,豊竹座）、『入鹿大臣皇都諍』（寛保３,竹本座）、『児源氏道中軍記』（延享１,竹本座）、『遊君衣紋鑑』（延享１,豊竹座）、『増補大仏殿（萬代）礎』（延享２,豊竹座）、『女舞釼紅楓』（延享３,陸竹小和泉座）、『新板累物語』（寛延３,肥前座）、『文武世継梅』（寛延３,竹本座）
また、新たに第7期の刊行を目指し、研究分担者、研究協力者が担当する翻刻作品の選定、翻刻に当たっての影印資料の手配や、書誌調査などの準備に入っることができた。
さらに、これまで刊行してきた翻刻作品について、データを利用した語彙索引の研究会を重ねており、『丹州爺打栗』の自立語語彙索引の基礎的なタグ付けを終了し、次年度の索引刊行を目指している。さらなる語彙索引としては 『一谷嫩軍記』『須磨都源平躑躅』の単語切り出し作業を終えている。

2019年は、研究計画で予定した通り、作品研究を主にすすめ、精力的に成果発表をおこなった。
まず、2019年6月に埼玉大学で行われた国際学会、ASCJにおいて、「The“Three Kingdoms”in Japanese Early Modern Puppet Theatre: Looking at“Three Kingdoms in This Country”」と題する口頭発表（査読付、国際、英語）をおこなった。これは、近松門左衛門作の「本朝三国志」についての作品研究である。続いて、国内の学会においても査読付の口頭発表「本能寺の変に関する演劇・映像作品小考」（第27回楽劇学会大会、2019年7月、法政大学）をおこなった。これは、前年度に執筆した、単行本（共著）、原田真澄「本能寺の変 虚像編」（堀新・井上泰至編『信長の虚像と実像』（文学通信社、2020年6月出版予定））の研究をさらに推し進め、近現代の映像作品における本能寺の信長像の構築についての考察をおこなった研究である。さらに、海外の英文査読付き学会誌にも論文を投稿した。この拙論"Regional Love and Hate: Working around Censorship in Mid-Edo Period Ningyo Joruri", Journal of the Oriental Society of Australia,vol.51（2020年出版予定）は、現在査読を通過し、校正も終了した。内容は、大坂軍記物である「近江源氏先陣館」と「鎌倉三代記」の作品内容から大坂と江戸の英雄像の違いについて考察したものである。本稿は、2020年中に発刊される予定である。
今年度は、作品研究について想定以上の国際的な研究成果が得られている。以降も遅滞なく研究を推進できるものと思われる。

We conducted research on and transcribed never-before-transcribed post-Chikamatsu works of joururi, in order to publish the fifth (10 works, published in 2018) and sixth (10 works, published in 2020) series of Gidayu-bushi joururi mihonkoku sakuhin shuusei from Tamagawa University Press. In addition, we reexamined the working text files for the 42 joururi transcripts that we previously published, harmonizing them with the revised published versions to make them suitable for future publication as a digital archive.
We also analyzed data for making an index based on moji-fu to contribute to musical and textual research, and worked on tagging in order to make an index based on vocabulary to contribute to the study of early modern Japanese language.

Our project was to provide quality texts of joruri plays from the Kyoho to Horeki periods (1716-1764) to contribute to domestic and international theatrical research. We selected the versions of manuscripts to reprint, conducted research on texts, and compared and collated various manuscripts. We published ten texts each for the third and fourth series of The Collection of Never-Before-Reprinted Joruri Texts from Tamagawa University Press, with detailed notes and performance records.
In addition, in order to make joruri texts usable as research materials of early modern language, we tagged word class, conjugation, etc., for several texts from the first series of The Collection, and published vocabulary indices for independent words for two joruri texts, Mt. Obasute in Shinshu and Mt. Akazawa and the Tale of Ito. Moreover, in order to clarify the relationship between music and lyrics, we studied the location of musical notations, and prepared to make indices for musical notations.

　本研究課題においては、主に太閤記物を主とする歌舞伎や人形浄瑠璃作品を中心とする近世演劇から近代の映像作品までの調査研究を行った。　調査は主に演劇博物館所蔵資料のうち、演劇博物館の「文化資源データベース」（以下、演博DB）などで未公開の資料（浄瑠璃本が主）や考証行き届かぬ文楽関連の錦絵などの図像資料について調査・研究を行っている。浄瑠璃本類の調査過程では、大変貴重な献上本なども発見されたため、合わせてデジタル撮影を行った。後日、演博DB内の「浄瑠璃本データベース」において公開予定である。また、錦絵などの図像資料関連調査も行い、これまで研究が行き届かぬ文楽の錦絵についての研究を行った。研究内容の一部は、演劇博物館 館報『enpaku book』117号に掲載予定であり、今後当館DBの「浮世絵データベース」所載の当該錦絵のメタデータにも反映される予定である。当初予定していた以上の研究成果を得ることが出来たと言えよう。
