    Abstract

    In this study, we consider parametric binary choice models from the perspective of information geometry. The set of models is a dually flat manifold with dual connections, naturally derived from the Fisher information metric. Under the dual connections, the canonical divergence and the Kullback–Leibler divergence of the binary choice model coincide if and only if the model is a logit model.

    Abstract

    The contingent valuation method (CVM) is a widely used experimental method to measure the monetary value of goods. However, CVM estimates are sensitive to experiment design. In this study, we formulated the optimal design problem as a minimization problem of the Fisher information metric of a gradient vector field generated by using the statistical model of the CVM. Furthermore, a necessary and sufficient condition of the optimal design was proven.

We illustrate how these methods employ different identifying assumptions and are therefore complementary approaches.     (1)一次元非線形差分方程式モデルについては,非線形性を積極的に取り込むことにより,生産量調整の遅れのような経済行動のラグが、複雑な変動を生み出すことを示した。また、複雑な変動が経済厚生に与える影響を分析した。
    (2)二次元微分方程式モデルでは、ホップ分岐定理とポアンカレ・ベンディクソン定理の両者を援用することで、カルドアモデルやベナシーモデルといった既存モデルを、新たな視点から再解釈する方法を与えた。また二次元差分方程式モデルでは、政府介入の効果を世代重複モデルによって分析し、馬蹄写像を用いてカオスの存在を証明した。次に、離散型の三次元カルドア型の小国開放モデルを用いて景気循環の分析を行い、ノイズを付加することによってモデルの動学的性質がどのように変わるかを調べた。この結果、ノイズを付加することは必ずしもモデルの動学的性質を不明瞭にするわけではなく、逆に背後に隠された構造を顕在化させ得ることを示した。さらに、モデルを五次元の2国モデルに拡張、分析した。
    (3)一般的に、非線形確率微分方程式で記述される系を陽に解くことは困難であり、したがってそれを分析するためには何らかの数値的・近似的手法が必要となる。従来の確率系の近似法にはなかった、系の持つ動学的特性を保つ新しい数値近似法を提唱した。
    (4)企業を情報処理システムとしてとらえ、構造変化などの外部環境の変化によって組織の効率性が変化し、そのことが組織変更を引き起こすことを実証的に分析した。また、視野の限定された多数のエージェントが局所的に相互作用するモデル(パーコレーション理論)を考え、それによって株価収益率分布の厚い裾野が再現されることを示した。
